Monday Poll– NH DOT toll hikes. Are they necessary? Who’s to blame?

Is there ANY change to the wasteful ways? Party on, dudes!
.
In the comments section of the previous post about the elimination of machines at the toll booths and the replacement with MORE state workers mere days after the Great Republican Toll Hikes of 2007, a reader, "Frank", claims I’ve got it all wrong, calling my position a "knee jerk" reaction written for fun. I disagree. It is my contention that the news of the hiring of more state workers is simply one more kick in the @ss for the hapless taxpayers and motorists here in the Granite State. It’s almost like getting the proverbial raspberry from the "grow government big spenders" that run things nowadays.
.
Now’s the chance for the rest of you to chime in. Take the polls below. Am I wrong? Does ANYBODY believe for a moment that any degree of cost cutting measures have been implemented at the DOT? I maintain that the toll hikes and the soon to be increased gas taxes allows the continued funding of "business as usual."  Am I off base on this? And who’s at fault for this mess, anyway? Feel free to leave comments after taking the poll. (And yes, I AM mad as hell about this– especially when Republicans could have used this as an opportunity to show the REAL difference between them & the Dems!)
