For some as yet inexplicable reason, this quote, from one of my 5 all-time favorite movies, Conan the Barbarian, popped into my head today…
Mongol General: "What is best in life?"
Conan: "To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women."
I dunno. I’ve always thought it to be one of the coolest lines from any movie ever- especially the way Arnold delivered it. Additionally, in times of war, if the goal is to actually win it, the words seem to me to be good advice. Sherman did it. The "Greatest Generation Ever" did it in order to win WWII. Why don’t we do it?
