Representative Duncan Hunter (R-CA), Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Committee, will announce his intentions to seek the 2008 Republican nomination for President in an event at Wilcox Industries Corp., Newington, NH. 
“I will be speaking to a group of friends and neighbors about a new American sunrise of opportunity, faith and freedom and making a special announcement about my future plans,” the Congressmen wrote in a recent letter sent to state GOP activists.

Rep. Hunter was last in New Hampshire on January 6th.  Interviewed on Laconia radio station WEZS’s political program “The Advocates,” hosted by former state representative Niel Young, the Congressman said that he would officially announce his Presidential intentions in a few weeks. 
Since first being elected to Congress in 1980, Congressman Hunter has “devoted himself to ensuring that our military is second to none, securing our nation’s borders, and protecting American workers from unfair competition,” according to his biography at www.peacethroughstrengthpac.org.
