Bloggers select most and least desired 2008 GOP prez nominee

by
Last week I recieved an email from John Hawkins of RightWingNews asking me to participate in his "Right-Of-Center Bloggers Select The Most & Least Desired 2008 Republican Nominee (First Half Of 2007 Edition)" poll. Certain bloggers were invited to  send two ranked lists of the 1-5 candidates they most wanted to take the Republican nomination for President in 2008 and a list of 1-5 candidates they would least like to see as the Republican nominee in 2008. The list to choose from was as follows:
.
Sam Brownback
John Cox
Jim Gilmore
Newt Gingrich
Rudy Giuliani
Chuck Hagel
Mike Huckabee
Duncan Hunter
John McCain
George Pataki
Ron Paul
Mitt Romney
Tom Tancredo
Tommy Thompson
.
I was so excited to participate (I would "vote" every day if I could) that I didn’t notice that I could include others not named, so I submitted my rankings using only those listed. (Although the only name that comes to my mind immediately to add would be Condi Rice.)
.
As it turns out, my most desired nominee (to answer the poll, as I still remain uncommitted at this point) was indeed the highest ranked and my number one least desired was the same as a majority of the respondents to John’s poll. Click here to read the results. I’m not sure if I’m ready to reveal my full ranking lists as submitted. Perhaps I’ll update this post later. Meantime, study the results at RightWingNews. I don’t agree with all of them, but this poll certainly gives a snapshot of 50 "right of center bloggers"… for whatever its worth (which I hope is a lot).
