Dems join Wal Mart in kicking off the Christmas season.

The Democratic war against Wal Mart moves on. With the socialist-leaning party in power, one wonders if the assault on the premier American retailer/ logistics giant will intensify and begin to cause the company real damage. Now two of the "best and brightest" of the Democratic Party, up and coming "stars", are joining the fray.
Sen. Barack Obama and another potential Democratic 2008 presidential contender, former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards, will speak to activists from one of Wal-Mart’s most vociferous union-backed critics Wednesday as debate over the world’s largest retailer becomes increasingly political.
.
Washington-based WakeUpWalMart.com, created by the United Food and Commercial Workers union, said Obama and Edwards will address the group’s supporters on two national conference calls that will launch a six-week campaign targeting Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
Perfect! Just in time for the holiday season that many millions of employees, customers, and stockholders rely on for incomes and/ or savings. WakeupWalMart proudly notes on its website that the company’s stock dropped in reaction to the election results:
Shares of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT.N) slipped on Wednesday as some investors worried that big political wins by Democrats could bring higher payroll costs and derail the retailer’s efforts to open a bank.
It’s really too bad that the left and their comrades in the Democratic Party have joined the union-thug crowd in their attacks on this great American company. You know that the real problem these people have is that they despise our free-market system, and WalMart simply is its current "face." When supposedly "mainstream" Democrats like Obama and Edwards jump in, it reveals where their true sympathies lie.
.
Both of these men are bandied about as potential presidential material. Do you think if they were ever to be elected, they would be as tough on Al Qaida as they are on WalMart?
.
Maybe they just don’t like Christmas.
