Missouri State Senate Votes to Nullify All Federal Gun Laws

Missouri.svgWhile our NH State Senate is erecting various barriers to speech, while using speech to articulate creative excuses for accepting ObamaCare bribes and future tax hikes, the Missouri State Senate just passed SB613.

This act declares as invalid all federal laws that infringe on the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Article I, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution. Some laws declared invalid under this act include certain taxes, certain registration and tracking laws, certain prohibitions on the possession, ownership, use, or transfer of a specific type of firearm, and confiscation orders.

Democrats Willing To Sacrifice Another 500,000 Jobs

got workThe Current Concensus view of Economists… is that the CBO is right when it supports their position but wrong where it does not. (Concensus:  When liberals agree on lying to people to get their way.)

“CBO’s estimates of the impact of raising the minimum wage on employment does not reflect the current consensus view of economists,” Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Jason Furman wrote in a blog post. “The bulk of academic studies, have concluded that the effects on employment of minimum wage increases in the range now under consideration are likely to be small to nonexistent.”

The Hill is reporting on CBO data that suggests the Obama minimum wage proclemation will result in the loss of 500,000 jobs by 2016 but could also lift one million workers out of poverty.  The left is praising the latter and dissing the former.

There is something to be said for looking for a way to help people out of poverty, but at what cost?

We knew Tea Party types were better at science, and then again–thanks to a Liberal Yale Professor, so this is not at all surprising.   New Research indicates the more Conservative you are the less likely you are to believe that astrology is actual science. New Hampshire had quite the battle for Gun Rights, for close to a months time. We persevered and got through it, but it was surely a nail bitter all the way.

I do have to ask the obvious question before I close. Now that we have a Republican candidate the establishment might not be in love with, running against a very weak Democrat opponent, will there be a dash to file a moderate and then some faux-conservative to make sure the moderate wins a primary and loses the general, or will the NH-GOP count themselves lucky and come together behind one candidate from now until November?
