Police in Fairfax County, Virginia said 44-year-old Daniel Rosen was arrested in his Washington D.C. home after a series of online exchanges with a female detective from their department’s child exploitation unit.

The detective was posing as a teen girl when she made contact with Rosen. She arrested him when she arrived at his home. Rosen faces one count of use of a communications device to solicit a juvenile. It is unclear whether Rosen used State Department equipment or his own personal devices to communicate with the detective. …

Stop Teasing the Locals with Tax Credits

By Steve Mac Donald | Watchdog Arena The Coös County job creation tax credit is on the top of the committee’s list for evaluation in 2015.  The credit is also part of a new piece of legislation that would expand the program into a second New Hampshire County. Is this wise? Since the tax credit’s … Read more

China Has “Net Neutrality” Already…

History has proven that every time government takes a market segment away from the public, the product ultimately costs more, performs worse, is harder to get, and ends up profiting a select few well-connected cronies at taxpayer expense. If the FCC takes control of our internet service, there is risk–perhaps likelihood–that competing ISPs will be … Read more

Berlin NH Cops Want a ‘Batmobile’ but This Isn’t Gotham City

LENCO Bearcat.2Berlin, New Hampshire has approved the filing of a grant application for $277,534 ish dollars of someone else’s money.  The plunder is for a Bearcat armored assault vehicle.

They have not approved the purchase yet but oh yeah, the ‘boys’ want their own Batmobile.

But what will the tourists think?

Remember when we had to take down the “arms” on the toll booths that wouldn’t go up until you paid the toll?  Those were unfriendly, sent the wrong message.  Now everyone (in one of the safest states in the nation) wants an armored assault vehicle.  I guess the new definition of a quaint New England town will be that of a snow-covered Common with kids playing, dogs barking, a steepled white church,  and a cheerily-lit festive holiday tree…next to the town tank.

When do we start filming the sequel to Red Dawn?

Alton NH Taxpayer Arrested During Public Input (Update- Video Added)

A Democrat Politicians Final Form? The Town of Alton must be reading memos and emails from the Timberlane, Gilford, and Windham School districts.

The board of selectman, during public comment, had a taxpayer arrested on the grounds that he had violated their recently enacted policy–enacted to shut people up.  In this case the taxpayer was arrested for disorderly conduct (no personal attacks), which translates to “publicly expressing his displeasure with their service.”

According to resident Jeffrey Clay of Alton, this is just the last in a series of actions to shut people up, himself in particular.

The Four Selectman of the 23 Million Dollar Salem Safety Apocycomplex

salemNHsignsmTo what lengths will four selectman in Salem, New Hampshire go to get what they want?

What they want is to take $23,000,000.00 ($23  million dollars) and turn it into the Salem Taj Mahal and safety complex.  There is one dissenting selectman who is concerned about the process, the cost, the lack of enough open debate, and the refusal to seriously consider cheaper alternatives….

As has become the habit of local boards of late debate becomes a one-sided affair and the rules are changed to protect the people from dissenting voices.  But! have the  Salem Mahalists, the Taj-a-goo goo’s if you like, done something in their zeal in violation of the law?

Is Rudy Right? And Why is the Left Freaking Out Over It?

When you go around criticizing Sam incessantly, apologizing for Sam over and over again, publicly hound Sam on his past failings it should come as no surprise that the people who see this behavior would conclude: “This guy is really not a fan of Sam.” And that’s precisely what Rudy Guiliani did this past week. He called it as he saw it when he stated that he doesn’t believe Obama loves America. This, as you can imagine, caused the Oblunderphiles in the media and elsewhere to go into frenzied huff.  “Sad to see what a lunatic Rudy Giuliani has turned into”, “BREAKING: Rudy Giuliani still a terrible human being,” or “Rudy Giuliani dives into Dinesh D’Souza’s anti-Obama dumpster”.   Oddly when Senator Obama said President Bush was unpatriotic, it was met by the same press and the progressives elsewhere with a giant yawn. Go figure.

Big deal a private citizen thinks Obama doesn’t like America.  Why the foot stomping hissy fit?

Bill Nye The Actor-Guy

Tom Cotton Has Some Advice For The State Department

In a tweet the US State department asked for “solutions you think are critical to countering violent extremism.”

This is the State Department so I’m assuming they do not mean countering the TEA Party, or Right to Life, or Right to Work, that sort of thing.

Senator Tom Cotton correctly took them to mean the ISIS variety of extremism, and made time to Tweet back a few suggestions of his own.
