Pam Tucker has ended her 2016 run for Congress and her challenge of Congressman Guinta for the District 1 seat in New Hampshire.
State Rep. Pam Tucker announced an end to her campaign for the 1st Congressional District seat in New Hampshire on Monday, citing family obligations.
“Today, I’m announcing the suspension of my congressional campaign. I am so grateful to the many friends and supporters who have sacrificed so much for this campaign,” Tucker, R-Greenland, said in a statement.
“But with a young family and three daughters, it has become increasingly clear in recent days that now is not the right time for a congressional campaign,” she said.
And not the right time to dilute the vote in a primary when the state party wants to replace it’s own sitting Republican incumbent. Well, that’s what I’m thinking.

The Massachusetts State Senate voted 32-2 this week to make it illegal to sell cigarettes to anyone under the age of 21. The move follows local laws in several towns that already prohibit sales to those under 21. Experts suggest that taking the rule statewide will reduce the number of smokers in the Bay State by 12%.
The governor likes the premise but has not said for certain if he’d sign such legislation. Before he does he should let the taxpayers know where they plan to cut $100 million a year from the state budget.
Bonita Kitson of Concord collected social security benefits from 2008-2010. When she married in 2010 neither her or her husband–who was also collecting government goodies, reported the marriage. In 2014, when Kitson tried to collect a lump sum Social Security death benefit after that husband died, the geniuses in the government said, “husband?”
University of New Hampshire Media Relations Director Erica Mantz told the New Hampshire Union Leader that the $17,570.00 table purchased for the Holloway Commons, “…was a mistake, and it won’t happen again.”

“We believe the concept of what they wanted to do with the table was great, but we believe that it could have been done a lot less expensively,” Mantz said.

Weddings are back on at Stephen Forster’s Christmas tree farm on Mount Hunger Road after the Henniker planning board voted, 6-1, to approve his site plan.
The board decided Forster’s plan was within the zoning regulations, including the town’s definition of agritourism, approved by voters in March.
“It meant something or we wouldn’t have done it,” said planning board member Rick Patenaude of the decision by voters to redefine agritourism to include weddings and other functions.
