Steve Kenda is running in a Republican primary for the NH State Senate seat in Dist 24. Today he released the first list of New Hampshire Legislators from District 24 that are supporting his bid.  (Our most recent interview with Steve is here and here.)

If you believe that prohibiting second amendment rights to someone arbitrarily placed on a no-fly list is a sensible step then you’ve been programmed by your government to embrace incremental tyranny. Liberty in exchange for the presumption of security. The sacrifice of (other people’s) Constitutional right to due process and the notion of “innocent until proven guilty” for the perception of whatever greater good the people taking those rights claim will be secured.

And why should you care if the state denies basic liberties to others? We are not talking about taking away your right to due process. This is about other people. Except that it is not.

Dave Solomon at the New Hampshire Union Leader is reporting that New Hampshire state revenues are $100 million over budget for the year. And guess what?

Business taxes account for the largest share of the state’s revenue, and have brought in much more money than budget writers anticipated, …Receipts from business taxes are $74.5 million over plan for the 12 months, or 13.2 percent, accounting for three quarters of the surplus.

That is after Republicans insisted on a cut to business taxes that state Democrats poo-pooed. Democrats State Senator Jeff Woburn, speaking for the collectivist mind of his party, opposed the reductions saying, “we should be building the economy from the bottom up.”

Isn’t that what small business owners do when they hire people?

2016 could still be one of the warmest years (on average) in the satellite record. It may only tie 1998. We won’t know until the end of the year. But 1997/1998 and 2015/2016 are both El Nino weakening years flipping to La Nina, as we can see in the satellite temperature record above.

It is important to note in this context that the satellite temperature record is less than 40 years old. So when the climate cult and their media echo chambers claim things like hottest month or year “on record,” they are typically referring to one set of readings from a minuscule portion of a historical temperature record many thousands of years old.
