US Government to Defend Individual Religious Beliefs…

baker-jamaica-rastafarian-ganjaUS Government is finally standing up for the individual religious beliefs…of a Rastafarian.

The Obama administration is spending taxpayer dollars to sue a private business for not allowing a male employee to have long, matted and knotted hair required to practice an “Afrocentric” religion in which followers also smoke marijuana (“the spiritual use of cannabis”). Known as Rastafari, it was born in the slums of Jamaica and followers must have dreadlocks, long clumps of ungroomed hair, symbolizing the mane of the Lion of Judah.

Myron Magnet – “I Nominate Barack Obama, the Anti-Lincoln”

ferguson-violenceUndoing 50 years of race relations because Obama can’t help himself.

Anytime a non-black man killed an African-American, Obama cried racism and said it could have been him or his son, if he’d had one. Every time a cop, white or black, killed a black American, Obama’s reflexive instinct was to blame the cop. About the mayhem of black-on-black murder in the nation’s ghettoes, he gave only a single speech.

Chris Sununu’s Economic ‘Plan’ Raises Questions

Chris sununu
Chris Sununu’s New Nickname Should be “Flipper”

Gubernatorial Candidate Chris Sununu released an economic plan this past week (Skip mentions it here). As part of the scheme, he supports the repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act to help make health care more affordable. Great news except there is a problem. Not that long ago he supported ObamaCare’s expanded Medicaid provision.

I think it’s probably a good step forward. I like the idea that we’re moving forward without any tax payer burden, any tax burden on the taxpayers back.

Why Both Clintons are Such Unapologetic Liars

NRO “…liberal pragmatism begins and ends from a single first principle: Liberals must be in power to decide what is “pragmatic.” And when conservatives are in charge, the only form of acceptable pragmatism is . . . compromising with liberals. That is why both Clintons are such unapologetic liars. Pragmatism bills itself as being beyond … Read more

Rep. Jim Jordan Questions FBI Directer Comey – On The Context of One’s Actions

This isn’t that hard to figure out. All you need to do to determine if Hillary had intent is to replace her name and those of her aids and lawyers with the names of G.W. Bush and his staff and lawyers, and ask the question: Is this evidence of intent? Was evidence destroyed? Did they lie to cover it up? If it’s G.W Bush and company the answer is yes ergo so it is with Hillary.

Rep. Jim Jordan’s full five minutes with Director Comey can be seen below.

How DO People Get to Work Without “Government?”

Government WasteExecutive Councilor Dave Wheeler got a thank you from the Amherst GOP on Twitter yesterday. Wheeler spoke against rubber-stamping another $250,000.00 in taxpayer money for a program that already had $1.7 million allocated to it through 2017. (I just fisked the crap out of that here, if you need details.) The program pays to fix up cars that then go to eligible welfare recipients.

According to former NH Democrat state party Chair Kathy Sullivan, poor people can’t leave home without it.

Voters Should Assume NH Dems Supporting Hillary are All Serial Liars Too

New Hampshire Democrats need to explain why anyone should trust anything they say, ever? Their presumptive nominee is a serial liar, and either a complete and utter incompetent or a calculating insider so committed to hiding her activity from public scrutiny that leaving national security secrets lying around the internet is a reasonable risk to ensure a … Read more

Councilor Dave Wheeler Opposes Quarter-Million More for Well-Funded Group

AscentriaExecutive Councilor Dave Wheeler opposes rubber-stamping another $250,000.00 taxpayer-backed disbursement to fund an already heavily subsidized program run by Good News Garage. The program is supposed to fix up cars and donate them to eligible Welfare recipients, but it does not lack in funding. According to Wheeler, and the Union Leader, they’ve already received $1.75 Million in taxpayer dollars for the next two years for this one program. Sounds well-funded to me.

You know what else is well funded? The organization that runs Good News Garage, Lutheran Social Services of  New England, which changed its name to Ascentria. In the 2014 filing (the last year for which I could find a 990), Ascentria’s CEO, Angela Bovill, received almost a quarter million (Kaching!) in compensation all by herself.
