Media Bias Tools of the Trade c/o Reuters

Talk about burying the lead. The Reuters headline announces that “At least six ‘faithless electors’ break ranks, but Trump wins Electoral College vote” but fails to clarify that most of them defected from Hillary until paragraph five. Most of the rest is an attack on the Electoral College and Trump.

Gov. Scott Walker: President Trump, More Local Control, Please.

Presidential Candidates Address NRA Annual Meeting In St. LouisWisconsin Governor Scott Walker, in a letter to President-elect Trump, is asking the next Commander in Chief to cut the Federal strings and go to a program of block grants managed by state-level equivalents of the federal agencies without all the inefficient red tape and unproductive bureaucratic “oversight.’

The federal government was originally created to be a small, central government of limited powers, with everything else left to the states. Through years of federal overreach, this model has been turned on its head, and now is the time to right the ship.

More Hillary Electors Defect Than Trump

Hillary CackleWith 304 electors on his side, Donald Trump is (again) the clear winner and the 45th President of the United States of America. But that’s not the story.

This is the story.

Yes, two electors in Texas cast protest votes instead of voting for Trump. But four electors in Washington State did not vote for Hillary and several others who tried to vote for someone other than Hillary were “convinced” otherwise or replaced.

Obama “Recovery” Leaves More Blacks and Young Adults Behind

The great Obama RecoveryHere we are, beneficiaries of the Great Obama Recovery® and yet homeownership rates are down among blacks and young adults.

Per a new report from the Pew Research Center, and as our readers are undoubtedly aware, home prices have indeed recovered to pre-recession levels with a little help from Janet Yellen and crew.

That said, the Obama narrative breaks down from there as further research readily reveals that home prices have recovered despite a massive drop in overall homeownership rates.

Dartmouth Researcher Implies Democrat Students are Dumber than Republicans

clean-electionsIf we do away with same-day voter registration in New Hampshire with what do we replace it? That’s a great question and the subject of a report on the front page of today’s Union Leader. But not everyone thinks there is a problem. Or do they?

Dartmouth College researchers studied voting practices in three states and last month concluded there was not rampant voter fraud.

One of its authors said getting rid of same-day voter registration here will not make elections any more honest.

Left-Wing Fake News On Russia, Trump, and Oil Money

bakken-oil-rig-north-dakota-continental-resources
Bakken Oil Rig – North Dakota

The left is cycling a narrative around social media suggesting that Russia helped Trump win because of oil money. Russia’s economy lives or dies on the stuff and the higher the price per barrel the better. So Trump and his oil buddies, at least according to this fake news story, are tit for tat behind Russian meddling to defeat Hillary.

The problem with that is this:

America’s private-sector shale industry was the direct and indisputable trigger for the global petroleum price collapse. Thousands of small and mid-sized companies — it was not “big oil” that created the shale revolution — added more oil (and natural gas) to global markets in a shorter period than at any time in the past half-century, anywhere.

New Hampshire Joins Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck Program

So tell me again - vote stealing activists use NH Democrat Martha Fuller Clarks house to vote fromNew Hampshire will be submitting its November 2016 voter checklist to the Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck Program. This program compares our list to that of 29 other states. The goal is to look for voters registered in multiple states. We’d like to thank the legislature for making Ed Naile’s job easier.

The crosscheck program has been around for a while. We’ve written about it here and here, and did at least one interview here. And as you’d suspect, according to today’s Union Leader, Democrats don’t like the program, fearing for all of the usual suspects.

Why is CIA Leaker Too Shy to Accept Liberal Canonization and Life Changing Wealth?

goldWhoever it is at the CIA that leaked the Russian hacker story to the Washington Post has suddenly gotten shy.

No one at CIA has any interest in appearing before the House Intelligence Committee with actual evidence of the claim that Russia meddled in the election. Evidence that would make them a secular humanist Demi-God in the Democrat party pantheon with all the commensurate reward.

Speaker Jasper Tries To Hamstring Roll Call Transparency Again

jasper
Jasper Sequel: Limiting NH House Roll Calls 2.0

Jaspercrats in the NH House are taking another stab at making transparency more difficult. (From my In-Box)

Today the House rules committee is meeting to discuss the rules for the  house for next year.  It is my understanding that House leadership (both R&Ds) are pushing to move the number of “seconds” needed for a roll call to 20 (up from 10). If you recall, they tried this 2 years ago.  This will limit accountability and transparency of government.

They want 20 people to stand up and second the motion before the votes of your representatives must be recorded. When they tried to do this two years ago I had this to say.

Time to Build An Epic Shooting Range in Winchester, New Hampshire

From the InBox: So there is an awesome plan (It is even funded!) to build an epic shooting range in Winchester NH complete with a 1,000 yard range. However, it must go through the arbitrary government zoning process and there is pushback from the anti-gun left. If successful, this would be the first 1,000 yard … Read more

Wisconsin Recount Over – Trump Wins By Even Larger Margin

smirking-trumpHillary and Democrats keep losing. Again, and again, and again.

Donald Trump, [won the Wisconsin recount] by 131 more votes than he originally claimed in last month’s general election. The certified recount confirms that Trump is the first Republican presidential nominee to win Wisconsin since 1984.

It was an expensive loss. The hijacking of Wisconsin cost the Green Party $3.5 Million all so Trump could make winning greater, again;

It was a Leak, not a Hack – DNC Insider Responsible

sethrich-newsweek

The Democrats Fake News Russia-hack narrative takes another broadside.

On Sunday, a former British ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray, said he has met the person who gave the DNC emails and it was not the Russians.

“I know who leaked them,” Murray told The Guardian. “I’ve met the person who leaked them, and they are certainly not Russian and it’s an insider. It’s a leak, not a hack; the two are different things.

A DNC insider leaked the emails, which means it wasn’t Russia but if it will make anyone feel better they were probably still a socialist.

High Electric Rates: NH Businesses Will Expand or Relocate Elsewhere

expensive-energy-electricityIn this morning’s Manchester Union Leader the front page has a report on how Granite State businesses looking at expansions would like to grow in New Hampshire but are forced to look outside the state because our energy costs are prohibitive.

“If we don’t have an assurance of reliability and a drastic reduction in our energy costs, a lot of us will be packing our bags and going,” John Olson, Whelen [Engineering’s] executive vice president said at a New Hampshire energy symposium at the Radisson Hotel.

Sig Sauer and others agree. High electricity rates not only demand they look elsewhere for expansions, but they could also scare away or drive out manufacturing altogether. This is a problem that (believe it or not) one Republican State Senator does not think the State Legislature should address.

U.S. Life Expectancy Declines Under Obama and ObamaCare

obamacare-tombstoneIn 2015 US Life Expectancy declined for the first time since 1993. I say we blame ObamaCare. And why not? We’re this to happen under a Republican administration (and keep in mind the last time was also under a Democrat), they and their policies would be the leading cause.

We also have the “benefit” of having been under the heel of a signature Democrat health-care program whose arguments in favor included America’s ‘dismal’ life expectancy compared to the more civilized western nations. A scheme that has failed miserably on nearly every front to which we may now add this.
