New Hampshire State Senator Jeff Woodburn has proposed legislation to create a bipartisan committee whose job would be to examine a response to reports of Russia’s interference in US elections. “Do you send hardearned dollars to someone who’s trying to undermine your democracy?” he said. “Your dollars should follow your ideals. By Jan. 9th, 2013 – Cynthia Chase Didn’t Feel Safe

Union Leader Headline Cynthia Chase

Back on January, 9th, 2013, I remarked on a report by WMUR News 9 about an online poll. Why? Because, when the comments got nasty, the largest television media outlet in the state at the time chose, of all people, New Hampshire Democrat House Rep Cynthia Chase for her thoughts.

Chase became known nationally just days earlier for saying this about Free Staters.

“What we can do is to make the environment here so unwelcoming that some will choose not to come, and some may actually leave. One way is to pass measures that will restrict freedoms that they think they will find here.”

So what happened when WMUR came knocking?

Marilyn Mosby “malicious prosecution and defamation” lawsuit Goes Forward

Marilyn Mosby - BaltimoreThe six police officers tried in the death of Freddie Gray have just won a major decision in court.

A federal judge, Marvin J Garbis, has allowed a “malicious prosecution and defamation” lawsuit against Baltimore Prosecutor Marilyn Mosby to proceed.

It has long been suggested that Mosby with plenty of encouragement from the Mayor and even some at the Federal level tried to create a case where one didn’t exist. The judge had some very specific things to say about why the case could move forward, not because of her actions as a prosecutor (the State was cleared) but as an investigator, and conduct for which she is solely responsible.

New Hampshire Constitutional Carry Bill Should Become Law in 2017

Gun Rights prevent rapeNew Hampshire Senate Bill 12 (2017) is an Act, repealing the licensing requirement for carrying a concealed pistol or revolver. The new law would make the current pistol revolver license in New Hampshire optional. So, anyone legally able to own a firearm in the state would be legally able to put a coat or jacket on without having to get permission from a local police chief first. (Open carry without a license is already legal in New Hampshire.)

The bill has the support of all 14 Republicans in the State Senate, with 13 of them being sponsors and Governor Sununu has said he would sign such a bill. A hearing is already scheduled so expect this bill to move quickly to the governor’s desk to become law.

Peace Prize Winner Obama Just Ended 49 Years of “Peace” in the Middle East

map-of-israelThe Jerusalem Post has a great article on what it views as the machinations of Obama against Isreal, through the U.N. You should read the whole thing, but I wanted to share this tiny bit because it contrasts nicely against the murky silhouette of Nobel Peace Prize Obama. (Formatting changes, mine)

UN Security Council Resolution 2334 was the first prong of outgoing President Barack Obama’s lame duck campaign against Israel. US Secretary of State John Kerry’s speech on Wednesday was the second.

On January 15, stage 3 will commence in Paris. At France’s lame duck President François Hollande’s international conference, the foreign ministers of some 50 states are expected to adopt as their own Kerry’s anti-Israel principles.
