NH DHHS Reschedules “Rule Change” Hearing to Allow Medicaid Coverage for “Gender Reassignment”

Burning USS Raleigh on NH State FlagNew Hampshire currently prohibits using Medicaid dollars to fund sex change surgery, but a few weeks ago Rich Girard broke a story about how the state’s Department of Health and Human Services was looking to change the rules. Transition them, so to speak, to allow tax dollars to finance sex change operations to Medicaid recipients.

According to information contained on the department’s Rulemaking Notice Form:

This proposal amends the rule, by deleting paragraph (g), to remove the categorical prohibition of coverage of gender reassignment surgery.

The Department of Health and Human Services (NH-DHHS) scheduled a hearing for August 24th, but according to Cornerstone Action, the department has rescheduled the hearing.

The University of Chicago Chooses to Lead on Campus Free Speech

This might surprise you, but the University of Chicago is leading the way in defense of free speech on campus. In a letter to incoming freshman, Dean of Students Dr. John (Jay) Ellison reminded them that,

“At the University of Chicago, we insist that all faculty and students are free to debate, disagree, and argue, without fear of being silenced.”

And just like last year, no trigger warnings. No safe spaces. Free Speech and agreeing to disagree are more important than coddling and hiding from ideas you disagree with.

No Violence Reported at Boston ‘Free Speech’ Rally Today

Holding its rally at Boston Common, the group Boston Free Speech Coalition invited “libertarians, conservatives, traditionalists, classical liberal, Trump supporters or anyone else who enjoys their right to free speech.” …

CNN reports that the counter-protesters comprised of members of groups such as Organize Boston against Trump, Boston Democratic Socialists of America and Black Lives Matter. Although counter-protesters and supporters of President Donald Trump occasionally shouted at each other, police kept the two sides separate through a buffer zone, avoiding huge conflicts.

You could say that Black Lives Matter, Boston Democrat Socialists of America, and Organize Boston against Trump oppose free speech.
