‘Tis the season to fall down

Political candidates, that is – Republican Prez Wannabees.  And now, NH has proven, once again, that it is the Killing Fields of Prez politics in winnowing the field.  And today, we learned that yet another one has stepped off the road: However, The Hill is reporting that Gilmore is set to exit a stage he was … Read more

Newspaper comment – NH citizens already looking at the Republican Primary for Governor

New Hampshire - Welcome, now go home.
Welcome to New Hampshire…

Well, a number of Republicans in the NH House decided to join the Democrat Party in enlarging State Government, put more people (especially formerly independent single working males) on the public dole, and are making the rest of us pay for it – Steve has the Republican list of those that decided that the Party Platform of smaller government, lower taxes is just so much nonsense – it’s not even a “guide” anymore.

Sidenote: is ANYONE else getting ticked off at the Republican politicians like NH State Rep Joe LaChance and NH State Senators Jeb Bradley & Chuck Morse saying they are “protecting” NH taxpayers while screwing those of us who are also FEDERAL taxpayers – because now WE will have less to spend on OUR families just for them to pass legislation that they hope will appeal to DEMOCRAT voters to keep their butts in their political seats?

But people are watching – and thinking down the road.  For the Governorship – Republican primary.  And someone is not going to be happy with the comment (emphasis mine):

Notable Quote – Seton Motley

The old politician saw is: “The most dangerous place for you in Washington – is between (fill in name of pol) and a camera.” We’ll coin a government saw: “The most dangerous place for you anywhere on the planet – is government between you and the free market.” Any and every tax, law and regulation … Read more

Palate Cleanser – Lego Robot paper airplane maker and launcher

Just cool: “Sacek was hired by Elevation Digital Media in collaboration with Arrow Electronics to design and build this autonomous paper airplane factory, which is controlled by multiple Lego Mindstorms intelligent bricks, and quite a bit of custom code. It’s not the first Lego paper airplane machine we’ve seen, but Sacek’s design looks far more … Read more

Homeland Security – dotting ALL the I’s and crossing the T’s identifying domestic terrorists – Oh Wait!

Yeah, we’re in the BEST of Political Correctness (hint: that’s a hint) hands.  Our Dept. of Homeland Security is on the top of their game watching inside our borders (yeah, that’s another sad joke).  Here’s who they think are our greatest threats:

Yup, look at them all.  Look hard.  Now, let’s play “where’s Waldo?”

The root cause of why Trump and Cruz are winning?

Remember, MIT trained John Sununu the Elder said:

I have no feeling for the electorate anymore. It is not responding the way it used to. Their priorities are so different that if I tried to analyze it I’d be making it up.

The last couple of years, a rebellion has been brewing, mostly smoking, irritated, frowning – or as Conservative Treehouse has said “Cold anger”.  They are tired of being taken for granted, sick of the browbeatings from their “betters”, and tired of votes being demanded (and then, at least here in NH, their Principles disregarded by the NH GOP).

CNBC’s “Morning” Joe Scarborough lays it out cleanly as to why the base trusts not the Establishment and is, in effect, open rebellion (emphasis mine):

Obama can’t even be honest about what “Islam” means

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” – Barack Hussein Obama, P 261 -“Audacity of Hope.” And “‘…The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander The Prophet Of Islam”. Neither should it belong to those that commit taqiyya to “infidels” about Islam even if you are … Read more

This guy makes NH GOP Committeeman Steve Duprey look like a piker

Yes, that NH GOP Committeeman Steve Duprey who gives money to Planned Parenthood’s political action committee.  Yes, that PPPAC that has vowed to remove NH Senator Kelly Ayotte from her seat in the US Senate.  Yes, we have cataloged (probably much to the dismay of Renee Plummer and NH State Rep Joe LaChance) the evil that “Republicans” have done to undermine the Republican message (and hate us for doing so).

But this guy, THIS Republican from Ohio who endorsed Kasich, takes the Duprey duplicity SEVERAL levels above:

This OH GOP Official Endorsed John Kasich Yet His PAC Gave Thousands To Democrats

Who is Matthew Cox? Many people outside of Ohio probably have no idea. Cox is an attorney and lobbyist, President of Cox Consulting Group. Cox also works with a company called GOP Convention Strategies. While not affiliated officially with the Republican National Committee, the firm promises to connect their clients with high powered people in government, the RNC, the media and private organizations. Cox is also a member of the Ohio GOP Central Committee and he has personally endorsed John Kasich for President.

Cox also has a PAC, called CCG PAC. It has made thousands of dollars of donations.

And then it goes on to list a bunch of Democrats that were recipient of his largesse.

What, John E. Sununu, WE’RE not your most “Right wing extremist blog”? We’ve failed you!

After all John, John Kasich has said the following:

“Isn’t that interesting,” Kasich said as the crowd around her gasped. However, without mentioning his political allegiance or correcting the voter, Kasich went on to position himself as a good compromise between Sanders and Clinton saying, “One of them’s too hot, one of them’s too cold, but I’ve got the right temperature.”

And:

On February 5, while talking to a Democratic voter in New Hampshire, the Ohio governor exclaimed, “I ought to be running in a Democrat primary. I got more Democrats for me — you have any Republican friends?”

Really!  This is what one wants to hear from a Republican self-avowing being a conservative?  To position themselves between a self-avowed Socialist (and as people dig, more a Communist than a Socialist) and a Saul Alinsky accolyte (also a Socialist, just more discrete about it)?  What kind of a Conservative is that?  And then John Jr. gets upset (H/T: another RedState) when Kasich is called on it?

“Just now on CNN, Kasich surrogate John Sununu, Jr. was asked about why conservatives do not like John Kasich. He started rattling off some talking points, then host Carol Costello dropped two separate RedState quotes on him. He didn’t seem to enjoy the experience very much.”

Let’s add this to the bonfire:

Palate Cleanser – This is for Ed Naile

Ed is a Grokster but more importantly, as Chair of CNHT, he fights for NH taxpayers in kinds of ways – including Voter Fraud.  But he is a professional arborist and stages the Stihl sponsored Lumberjack competitions.  When I saw this, I immediately thought of Ed KNOWING he could be doing this breakdown in his … Read more

FBI taking over the occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge?

And another one (and another one) bites the dust: Christie and Fiorina

That would be both Chris Christie AND Carly Fiorina – after really disappointing results (and blowing millions of bucks), they have dropped out of the race seeking the Presidency.  TMEW asked me about Carly as she had boasted that she was going all the way as recently as last night; all I could do is shrug my shoulders and go “that’s politics”.

Ladies first – message from Carly:

From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for everything you’ve done for this campaign. For standing with me, for fighting with me. For your generosity, for your support, and for your faith. Thank you.

This campaign was always about citizenship—

GrokTV: PBS News Hour interviews Grokster Steve

This past Saturday we had Lisa Dejardines on GrokTALK! – it wasn’t clear to me at the start what we were supposed to talk about but it sure was a lot of fun and on some deep issues (we’ve asked her to come back if her Bosses will let her).  However, the main reason she was in studio was to do an interview with Steve which will run during the NH First In The Nation Primary this Tuesday.

UPDATE: we held this post until PBS could run their tonite.  That has now aired.

Take a listen – I think it was a very well done interview on both sides of the camera.  Unsure how much time he will have during the actual piece but in staying with my mantra of “video everything” (especially with journalists), here is the uncut video from the entire time (just split into two pieces – all material is there).

Part 1:

NH FITN winnows the field – Christie to take stock of his campaign

And, oh yeah, he’s bumped … Read more
