Obama – says one thing, acts another (but he really doesn’t care WHAT you believe)

Let us honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion and draft a sensible conscience clause.”

baby in wombPresident Obama (2009), Notre Dame Commencement.  Hmm, so the Congress decided to do exactly that – from LifeSite:

House passes bill to stop govt from forcing people to participate in abortion

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – The House of Representatives has passed the Conscience Protection Act of 2016 (S. 304), by a 245-182 vote.   Three dependable pro-life Democrats – Henry Cuellar, Daniel Lipinski, and Collin Peterson – voted for the bill, while one pro-abortion Republican – Richard Hanna – voted against it.  The bill, which would prevent the government from discriminating against any health care provider who refuses to “perform, refer for, pay for, or otherwise participate in abortion,” also allows victims of discrimination to sue in civil court.

And what was President Obama’s response (hint: he is aligned with NH GOP State Committeeman Steve Duprey)? Utterly predictable and speaking out of both sides of his mouth (emphasis mine):

Data Point – It is “settled” with Law Enforcement head Honchos

The 28th Annual National Survey of Police Chiefs shows that “76 percent” of respondents believe armed citizens reduce violent crime. An even higher percentage–nearly 88–stated their conviction that “any vetted citizen” should be able to purchase a gun “for sport or self-defense.” According to the survey, nearly “87 percent” of police chiefs support national reciprocity … Read more

Quick Thought – Betty Tamposi is dead wrong

Betty Tamposi, beloved of the Establishment Republicans, has a piece in the Concord Monitor where declares that Republicans must resist Donald Trump – he’s the Barbarian at the Gate of Republicans so we MUST go out and embrace the Goths, Vandals, and Visi-Goths.

Together, reaching across the aisle, Republicans, Democrats and independents can choose the candidate who is far better able to lead our country. That candidate is Hillary Clinton….I am voting for Hillary because she will be a president America can be proud of.

Yeah, that old reaching across the aisle has worked out just so dandily – sorry, but for the base, that is code for “we’re gonna help the Democrats move their agenda FORWARD“. Just look at the Republicans reaching across the aisle in implementing Obamacare here in NH.  Look at Kelly Ayotte willing to subvert the clear words of the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Amendments “to keep us safe” – yeah, Constitutionally supportive, eh?

And you’re worried about Donald Trump????

Yeah, making common good with those that repeatedly say “Death to Republicans” and vote for Hillary Clinton is EXACTLY like what Rome did – how’d that work out for them?

Words for Betty Tamposi to mull over

Gadsden FlagJUST came across this piece (H/T: Instapundit) and thought that Betty Tamposi (and the rest of “YOU PEOPLE” of the same ilk) should ponder the rightness of the underlying theme:

Brooks is, of course, horrified at Trump and his supporters, whom he finds childish, thuggish and contemptuous of the things that David Brooks likes about today’s America. It’s clear that he’d like a social/political revolution that was more refined, better-mannered, more focused on the Constitution and, well, more bourgeois as opposed to in-your-face and working class.

The thing is, we had that movement. It was the Tea Party movement. Unlike Brooks, I actually ventured out to “intermingle” with Tea Partiers at various events that I covered for PJTV.com, contributing commentary to the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Examiner. As I reported from one event in Nashville, “Pundits claim the tea partiers are angry — and they are — but the most striking thing about the atmosphere in Nashville was how cheerful everyone seemed to be. . . .

And here’s the part that gets to the heart of the matter – it was all about Power of the Political Fusion Class, of which Betty Tamposi is now part and parcel of (well, not now – for a while.  But now she’s flying her “dark as the black of space” flag):

Western officials – morons all, it seems.

Glenn Reynolds of Instapundit oft says that we have the worst political class ever; I agree.  Unfortunately, it isn’t just limited to here in the States – Germany seems to be overrun with cluelessness as well.  From a post lamenting why Germany can’t deport those economic migrants that should be there (of COURSE, let’s ignore … Read more

Eric Estevez for Congress – the “Estevez for the Restevus” campaign contest – Part 6

Man, am I backed up on putting this up!  Our readers are GREAT and I have a whole slew of images to post.  I’m afraid that both the creative juices are overflowing and that the Eric Estavez for Congress campaign ain’t gonna like them – after all, we are now hitting the first page of Google with our posts. Love ya!  Anyways, a quick time out from the satire as here’s one for real that was seen at the Bernie for Hillary rally in Portsmouth.  Again, no, that Estevez sticker is NOT photoshopped:

Estevez Bernie Supporter

Now, think about this (and no, this isn’t about Hillary) – Bernie is an avowed Socialist who has, like all Socialists, wants a political revolution that is totally opposite of the what the TEA Party (both n 1770s and now) wants – a returned of politics in reverence to the philosophy and words of the US Constituton.  No, Bernie, this man that honeymooned in Moscow at the height of the Cold War, wants nothing more than a Soviet style (or to be current, a Venezuela style revolution – see how well THAT’S working out for “The People”).

And this Bernie supporter LIKES Estevez?   What is it about Eric Estevez’s politics and policies that would attract a hard core Leftist to support him?  Makes you wanna think hard for a few minutes, doesn’t it?

(H/T: K C)  Gosh, and neither of them look Latino (given that Eric Estevez for Congress campaign seems to be all about using the Democrat Identity group politics (e.g., ). Skin-deep thinking, I guess. Again, I thought that Republicans were all about ideas and not racial pandering.

2016 NH Governor Primary – am I the only one thinking Ted Gatsas is highly misleading on this?

Obamacare -Year of the SnakeWhere “this” would be Medicaid Expansion here in NH (or as Steve points out, a step to “a single-payer system.”).  Here’s what current Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas said at the Windham GOP Gubernatorial Debate (emphasis mine, reformatted):

However, the candidates differed on a few key issues, including whether to continue Medicaid expansion and whether they support abortion rights.

Those differences emerged at the beginning of the debate, when all candidates were asked whether they would sign a pledge from outside group Americans For Prosperity to cut taxes and regulations and oppose the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid expansion. While Forrester and Edelblut said they would have no problem signing the pledge, Gatsas and Sununu were more hesitant, especially when it came to health care issues.

“Hesitant” – sometimes a code word used to describe Republican that KNOW what the right thing to do is (in terms of living up to the Conservative ideals of less taxes and smaller government) and KNOW that if they were completely truthful, they’d lose in a heartbeat (because they DON’T want to do the right thing – they just want to get elected).  So what did Gatsas say? Obfuscation:

Quick Thought: “Clinton Supporters: Not the Brightest Bulbs”

Bottled-WaterKimberly put up a post of the Tuesday Hillary Clinton / Bernie Sanders rally at which that young (and seemingly clueless) Obama supporter that wanted to do a solid for others of her mind set and handing out water bottles. When she realized that these were anti-Hillary protesters, she took the water bottles back.

To me, that demonstrated the Democrat Socialist when the sheep’s clothing is cast aside: We do nothing with or for those outside our tribe. In fact, this young Socialist totally lived up to what Hillary Clinton said she would do:

“We’re going to take things away from you” – Hillary Clinton, June 2004

So this girl just lived up to Hillary’s words – so why was anyone surprised when that supporter took “things away from you”?  That’s what Socialists do

Well, already we have entries coming in from our loyal ‘Grok readers!  And some of them are quite good and have elicited much hilarity amongst we ‘Grok writers.  Here’s  one submitted from Nana Mae:

Estevex and Waldo

Sounds about right for the Eric Estevez campaign – methinks that are going to have to search wide and far for votes. But even Waldo knows that photoshopping does not mean a vote.

I see that the Eric Estevez is going after an untapped micro-segment of the electorate – the old Republican-bashing comediennes.  And who better to be on Eric’s side than none other than:

Behar for Eric Estevez

Behar hates Republicans – she really does.  So what should my next thought be?  If Behar LIKE Estevez…..

Really, Chris Sununu, THAT is what the role of NH Governor is supposed to be?

Chris Sununu

Shot (emphasis mine):

“THE PRIMARY job of the governor is to grow the economy,” Sununu says in announcing his economic plan.

Chaser:

NH Constitution

[Art.] 41. [Governor, Supreme Executive Magistrate.] There shall be a supreme executive magistrate, who shall be styled the Governor of the State of New Hampshire, and whose title shall be His Excellency. The executive power of the state is vested in the governor. The governor shall be responsible for the faithful execution of the laws. He may, by appropriate court action or proceeding brought in the name of the state, enforce compliance with any constitutional or legislative mandate, or restrain violation of any constitutional or legislative power, duty, or right, by any officer, department or agency of the state. This authority shall not be construed to authorize any action or proceedings against the legislative or judicial branches.

Wanna think that over, Chris?  Right off the bat, you wish to disregard your actual NH Constitutional mandate?

Eric Estevez for Congress ? Make no mistake, we talk behind no one’s back

This gem of an image is from the Eric Estevez Twitter feed (Eric Estevez for Congress): —>Behind Estevezs back

Trust me – we have 10 years of making sure we are out front with EVERYTHING we say and do – just ask any Conservative here in NH.  Or ask a lot of RINOs – we’ve pilloried most of them over the years as well for abandoning Republican Principles; out in the open.

But if I were you, I’d be worrying and starting to review the ‘Grok’s track record on elections and asking some former candidates who lost.  You can start with Walt Havenstein and Scott Brown, fr’instance…

Data Point – Is this why Democrats like Hillary want MORE Muslim refugees?

Democrat-Shirt-copyMakes sense to me.  From a Pew Research report, this stood out (emphasis mine):

When it comes to political and social views, Muslims are far more likely to identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party (70%) than the Republican Party (11%) and to say they prefer a bigger government providing more services (68%) over a smaller government providing fewer services (21%).

Votes, that’s all it is about.  Votes are a means to their end, which is Power.  And Power is only a means to their end point: A “heaven on Earth” Utopia (funny that – heaven, given that Dems are FAR more non-religious than the Right and actually tried to kick God out of their platform last election cycle).

Eric Estevez for Congress-Acting like Progressives in pulling Ethnic card against former NH House Majority Leader Pete Silva

From his Twitter feed
From his Twitter feed

That’s right – all you have to do is go to the Twitter feed of Eric Estevez to see the bias.  Pretty much every tweet has either @HispanicCaucus or @RNCLatinos.  You know, I have never thought that the GOP was going to lower itself to the level of the Democrats in playing the race / color / religion cards in pandering attempts.  Newsflash: the GOP will never be able to play the Democrat game of Identity Group Politics – just like in being Democrat-Lite, they’ll lose.

And we all know that the Democrat Party is all out with the knives when some member of their plantation goes strolling off (like Dr. Ben Carson, Prof. Thomas Sowell, Prof. Walter Williams, US Senator Tim Scott, investor / Fox contributor Charles Payne, actress / Fox contributor Stacey Dash, Col. and former US Congressman Allan West (ret.), and former Presidential Candidate / businessman / radio talk show host Herman Cain to quickly name a few).  “Traitor to your race”, “Uncle Tom”, and “Oreo” are the some of the least wicked epithets thrown their way.

So why is Eric Estevez shoving the shiv into former NH House Majority Leader Pete Silva (R)?  I can only think of one reason: Adopting the Democrat Race Card.

Eric Estevez – Announcing the “Estevez for the Restevus” campaign contest

Yessir, every campaign season has a Twit and we at the ‘Grok have found ours: Eric Estevez for Congress (NH CD2).  You know, the guy that decides that original photographs have to “evolve” (yep, using that Progressive word here) in order to suit a political agenda – in this case, his self-absorbed campaign.  We have already opined on his candidacy (here, here, and here) and here’s THE example that is starting the flushing:

ericestevezfakephotomblue

So, with the idea that every campaign needs lots of photographs (else, how could the Candidate boast about where he’s been and who he’s co-opted into being supporters and endorsers???), we are starting an effort to to help him.

So, we Groksters are starting the “Estevez for the Restevus” campaign for Estevez’s campaign – we just want to help him out (heh!  get it?). And we need YOUR help!

So, if YOU see somebody (or something) that is wearing an Estevez sticker (or likeness), let us know! The writers at GraniteGrok will vote to see which is the most. shall we say, “creative” (yes, Rule #1 is in force here, so keep it safe for work and kids).
