Precious Snowflake, Primal Scream Act 3

Attica LockePile on with Scott!  OK, not a scream but man, can you just feel the hate (emphasis mine, reformatted)?

Taxpayer-subsidized National Public Radio decided to greet the morning of Trump’s inauguration in the same way that it greeted the day after Trump’s surprising victory. They sought out black rage…in the person of author Attica Locke, who also writes for the Fox drama Empire. After the election, she refused to consider the notion that any Trump voter wasn’t a racist.

Well, nice to see she goes for the stereotype.  After all, it is simply that you apply a characteristic to a large group of people simple because of the color of their skin.  You know, in this case, that old saw about double standards.  But then she went full militant BLM and SJW:

So, Liberals are discovering……Prepping?

LIberal PreppersThere is a maxim that is floating around a lot since it became evident that Trump was going to be our next President and the result of Obama’s Imperial (“Pen and a phone”) Presidency and tremendous expansion the Oval Office’s power:  “Remember, you won’t have that Power forever and then the other side will have that Power”.  Obama expanded that Power – and now the other side has it.

And the Liberals are now discovering something that a lot on the Right did a while ago – Prepping.

One Precious Snowflake, believing a primal scream will change her world

“The Liberal Translation Guide: 20 Translations of Things That Liberals Say”

From our friends over at RightWingNews – LiberalSpeak:

1) “Peaceful Protest” – No liberals were hurt while throwing bricks through windows, demanding “Death to the pigs” or getting together in large gangs to waylay small, lone counter protesters from behind.

2) “Voter Suppression” — Cutting into Democrat vote totals by taking any steps to prevent voter fraud.

3) “The Constitution” – An outdated, irrelevant document that should be ignored unless you are claiming that some liberal agenda item is guaranteed by it despite the fact that no one noticed it for 200 years.

4) “Fascist” — People who want to cut spending, abide by the Constitution and get the government off your back.

Quick thoughts – inauguration of President Donald Trump

I watched the concert last night – wasn’t surprised that the “A-Listers” of Hollywood and the entertainment industry decided to “teach him a lesson” by boycotting it.  However, I think their actions accomplished two things that they didn’t intend to:

  • They showed their snobbish and haughtiness towards those of us rubes and flyovers – who, incidentally, are the ones that give them their great wealth (and privilege) by consuming their products.  Or in the case of many, not doing so.
  • With the above, they once again confirmed why Trump supporters voted for The Donald President Trump – these self-absorbed rump sniffers are part of that reason.

It wasn’t the best of concerts – until the very end.

President Trump’s inauguration address

Trump taking oath of officeI happened to be off work today so this being the Day of The End of an Error, I made sure that I watched the event.  My initial takeaway is that this was the antithesis of Barack Obama’s Presidency.  I think its theme, America First (and screw the references back to WWII and Charles Limbergh [H/T to loyal reader Paul for pointing out my misspppeeling -Skip] ), summarized why people voted for him.  The last 8 years has been the Progressive Period on steroids and Flyover Country got short shrift.

This election, and now President Trump, was payback for an overpowering and over intrusiveness by Washington into just about everything with values that weren’t traditional values.  In fact, I think it fair to say that Washington (and Progressives everywhere) took this time to slap us for holding those values. And in a lot of cases, made those values illegal.  As Kurt Schlichter said, they have and want to deny us normalcy.

The Left is having its anticipated hissy fit

They are ticked off BADLY that the American people basically have kicked Progressivism to the curb – not just in Washington but as I remind folks again, all over the country the Democrats have been removed from power – governorships and state legislatures have all gone Rightward.  Yet, I keep hearing from them that “the majority of people are with us”.  Sure thing, buckos.

Steve put up James O’Keefe’s videos exposing what the militant Left wanted to do, especially DisruptJ20, but ANSWER (a Socialist organization that only seems to pop up when Rs regain power), Democrat Socialists Of America, and a whole host of other anti-America groups are making way more than mischief.  Of course, the Left-leaning Anarchists will look for any kind of excuse to commit mayhem:

And whatever did a cup of coffee do to these folks?

Notable Quote – James Madison and Yuval Levin

Our civic liturgy for this constitutionally significant day should be informed by this observation from James Madison: The natural province of the executive magistrate is to execute laws, as that of the legislature is to make laws. All his acts therefore, properly executive, must presuppose the existence of the laws to be executed. These words … Read more

Blogline of the Day – Gaiety (gaity??) in the streets!

On the news that LGBT Activists Throw ‘Queer Dance Party’ at VP-Elect Pence’s House.

Don Surber in the comments for the win: “I always said gay people would be dancing in the streets with the election of President Trump. And I was right!”

Heh!  (H/T: Instapundit)  This will be a repeating post today – have a bunch stacked up in a pile.

The left’s strategy is simple – deny normal Americans normalcy. After all, that’s what we really want, a return to normal…

…And we’re sick of it. #ThisIsWhyYouGotTrump

We want to return to normality, and in an ironic twist of fate it was Donald Trump, the most unnormal guy imaginable, who promised it. Hillary Clinton promised more war and more weakness, more of the same economic malaise that has left most of America suffering, and much, much more of the same cultural scolding and calculated oppression of anyone so subhuman as to not live in a city and believe there are only two sexes. Trump committed to return to America’s normal state of economic prosperity, to America’s normal state of military supremacy abroad, to America’s normal state of self-confidence in our own exceptionalism. And we wanted to go back to a time where creepy activists weren’t trying to shoehorn men in skirts into our little girls’ locker rooms.

Normalcy. It’s what we want, and liberals want to deny it to us in order to doom Donald Trump and reopen their path back into power.

Democrats – the Party of the old

socialismIdeas, that is.  The UL has a snippet or so of the different caucuses (cauci?) that exist in the NH House – like minded legislators flocking together around a single or set of ideas.  There are a few but this not only grabbed my attention but puts the difference between those of us who put Liberty & Freedom first and believe in the philosophy of the Constitution (e.g., a document that LIMITS what Government can do TO you (e.g. negative Rights) and those Statists that believe that NOTHING should ever limit what Government SHOULD do FOR you (positive Rights (which used to be called “the dole” but again, the Left has corrupted our common language).

The difference is vast – those of us that maintain the original ideas of American Exceptionalism and those Socialists that hold to the ancien regimes coming out of Europe.  Individuals first vs Government first. And yes, there is the obligatory mention of FDR in there in describing the “Economic Justice Caucus” (e.g., just another euphemism for “we’re Socialists!”).  So who are these Compassionate Totalitarians:

There are many special-interest caucuses operating in the House, some of which come and go over the years as the issues change. The Democrats have never had a special-interest caucus with the staying power of the HRA, but former gubernatorial candidate Jacalyn Cilley of Barrington, a two-term state senator now serving her third term in the House, hopes to change that.

Along with Kermit Williams, a third-term state rep. from Wilton, she started the Economic Justice Caucus in April. Cilley has since been elected chair and Williams vice-chair for the upcoming session.

Dr. Bjorn Lomborg on UN Climate Treaty – extremely little bang for Trillions of dollars spent

Statistician: UN climate treaty will cost $100 trillion – To Have No Impact – Postpone warming by less than four years by 2100

Bjorn LomborgEr, why?  Economists (and families around the kitchen table) know something that politicians don’t* – cost/benefit analysis count.  Real ones, that is and not just the “made it up for the agenda” purpose.  Lomborg has taken it on the chin for years on climate change – he believes it is and Man may have something to do with it.  His believes, however, that it would be cheaper not to do what the greenies want but other things would have a bigger effect worldwide.  It’s the “opportunity cost” – what is the cost of the thing that you don’t do when you are doing this other thing.  That said, this will STILL get the climatistas’ panties in a wad over this ROI (Return On Investment) statement (emphasis mine):

Danish statistician Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, the President of the Copenhagen Consensus Center: ‘We will spend at least one hundred trillion dollars in order to reduce the temperature by the end of the century by a grand total of three tenths of one degree…the equivalent of postponing warming by less than four years…Again, that is using the UN’s own climate prediction model.’

Blogline of the Day – Obama is always blaming someone else for his inadequacies

And this time, it was about the partisanship in Washington DC.  And this time, he decided to pick on Rush Limbaugh.  Who, of course, has a great sense of repartee: Limbaugh added that it is “noteworthy” that Obama “exempts himself from any of the reasons for partisanship.” “Poor Obama,” he said. “Most powerful man in … Read more

Riffing off of Ellen’s post on the so called “Womens March”…

Obama: always ready to lay blame for his inadequacies – elsewhere

Er, not so much.
Er, not so much.

From Breitbart, we see that one thing has not changed during President Whiny Pants’s term in office – he’s never to blame (emphasis  mine):

On Friday’s broadcast of “Dateline NBC,” outgoing President Barack Obama reflected on his past eight years and why he was unable to accomplish as much as he had set out to accomplish after being sworn in as president in 2009.

As he has had in the past, Obama put some of the blame on conservative talker Rush Limbaugh and some host at the Fox News Channel, which he said made it difficult for Republicans to go along with some of his policy proposals.

“Well what is true is the ability of Republican leaders to rile up their base, helped along by folks like Rush Limbaugh, some commentators on Fox News I think created an environment in which Republican voters would punish Republicans for cooperating with me — that hothouse of back-and-forth argument and really sharp partisanship I think has been harmful to the country.”

In other words, our “I have a pen and a phone” President, who famously said that he was better at the jobs of everyone that worked for him, can’t admit that he LOST in the Arena of Ideas.  So put it another way – Rush and perhaps four other people at Fox blocked him and his policies?  Really, the most powerful man in the free world was stymied by people who just TALK for a living?  What does that say about Obama’s:
