It takes at least two sides to create a conflict. Not one, two.  Watching the Sunday shows you might believe that only one side was in Charlotteville, VA this past weekend.  The reporting concentrated on the KKK as a whole and neo-Nazis from whatever groups they happened to belong.  Just one side.

On This Week with Georgie George Stephanopoulos, there was not one mention of AntiFA or as you can see with the flags the Industrial Workers of the World group; one of a number of Socialist groups from the Left that ALWAYS seem to have a presence when violence is around.  Yet, he and his reporters and panel member just called them “counter protesters.” I guess Georgie forgot all about the Berkeley riots, the Oakland riots, and the Portland riots, eh?

Humphrey is calling for the president to be declared mentally incapacitated by a panel of doctors and stripped of his executive powers under the 25th Amendment. “I think the man, frankly, suffers from mental illness,” Humphrey said. “I think he is unfit to be president.” The former Republican senator fears Trump is putting the U.S. on a course toward nuclear war with North Korea. “This man is dangerous to our safety. He could cause the deaths of millions by his recklessness and his insane conduct,” Humphrey said.

Donald J Trump is President. Really. Won it fair and square, he was inaugurated seven — almost eight — months ago, and very probably is going to be President for another three and a half years.

So, now, children, let’s calm down. All of you people over there saying Trump is unqualified and should be removed? Give it up. He’s qualified by the only qualification that matters: he is over 35, he is a native US citizen, and he won the damned election. The Constitution doesn’t have a clause in it for removal by vote of the media, or because his political opponents don’t like him. The only reason he can be removed Constitutionally is if someone finds high crimes and misdemeanors.

Given that I just came home from the Americans For Prosperity NH’s (AFP) Tax Reform meeting at Pittman’s Freight Room in Laconia, this is appropriate.  I’ve said for years now that a free marketplace is one where people make decisions that benefit their own self-interest; if something does not add value to their lives, they won’t.  The true value of a free marketplace is that it is voluntary – WE decide and not anyone for us.

THAT MEANS IT’S WORKING: 6.5 million Americans chose to pay the fine rather than sign up for insurance on the Obamacare exchanges.

Insurance so good, people won’t even buy it under penalty of law.

In a real successful marketplace, people wouldn’t be forced to buy ANY product.

After almost 20 years of specializing in document management system, my first thought was “OCR, baby, OCR!”

OK, I think most readers here in NH know about the lawsuit concerning the NH voter list brought by the NH ACLU and NH State Rep Neal Kurk over sending that file to the Trump Administration’s election integrity commission.  Well, I guess there was a settlement in this kerfuffle:

NASHUA — The Secretary of State will proceed with the release of information from voter checklists to a presidential commission on election fraud, now that a lawsuit filed by two New Hampshire lawmakers and the ACLU to stop the release has been resolved.

That last bit in the above headline was crafted by blogger and radio host Erick Erickson: “you WILL be made to care” about all kinds of “social justice” demands, nor can you be left alone. You will be forced to take a side, and if you try to be as neutral as Switzerland, you will be condemned. You WILL speak out FOR OUR ISSUE, or you will be excoriated. It isn’t “can’t we just all get along,” rather, it is a demand that you not only recognize but affirm our issue. We’ve been seeing this on college campuses for the last two years as we see these college student twit authoritarians-in-hatching demand that everyone MUST agree with us (Evergreen, Harvard, Mizzou, to just name three).

Here, Ray Buckley does EXACTLY that – acts the bully for his LGBTQrstuvwxyz agenda and seriously, who the heck can keep up with the unending morphing of one group into another as well as the always changing acronyms.

Back in 1975, one of the stupidest fads swept the US and made its “inventor” (marketeer?) a millionaire.  That was the “Pet Rock” and he sold millions (yes, MILLIONS) of these inanimate objects as pets – at $3.95 a whack.  It came, made a buzz about rocks, and then disappeared as quickly as it showed up on the scene.

Well, just like Hollywood’s issue of running out of any kind of original idea (really, bringing back The Karate Kid as a TV series 30 years later??), so has the Pet Rock.  Except now, with all things being “Tactical” (or “tacticool” as some deriders rightly hold), so has the Pet Rock – but now dressed in black:

The GOP ran on “repeal and replace” and raised millions of dollars from individual donors who believed in this promise. Politicians aren’t used to having to actually deliver on what they say on the campaign trail, but a Virginia attorney has filed suit against the Republican National Committee over the party’s failure to repeal and replace.

There’s always a reaction when promises aren’t kept.  I’ve held for a while that we ought to be treating politics not as a separate entity but as another facet of the Marketplace.  You want me to spend my political currency (i.e., my Vote) with you, you need to make the case that you are worth it.  My Vote is very precious and rare, and I don’t wish to waste it on a sub-par product (as that is what a candidate is writ small and what a political party like the GOP is writ large).  I’d rather NOT spend it if what the GOP is offering for a product is flawed, not up to par, or can reach my standard of excellence.  And as a number of political wannabee candidates have found out, my ire has ramifications with other like minded conservatives and libertarians here in NH.

Look, if we purchase an inferior product in the marketplace, we have redress protocols available to us courtesy of these same politicians.  Many are

Alas, the world we engineers envisioned as young students is not quite as simple and straightforward as we had wished because a phalanx of social justice warriors, ideologues, egalitarians, and opportunistic careerists has ensconced itself in America’s college and universities. The destruction they have caused in the humanities and social sciences has now reached to engineering.

One of the features of their growing power is the phenomenon of “engineering education” programs and schools. They have sought out the soft underbelly of engineering, where phrases such as “diversity” and “different perspectives” and “racial gaps” and “unfairness” and “unequal outcomes” make up the daily vocabulary. Instead of calculating engine horsepower or microchip power/size ratios or aerodynamic lift and drag, the engineering educationists focus on group representation, hurt feelings, and “microaggressions” in the profession.

If my car breaks down, that bridge fails, the light switch only operates in off mode (be it the switch, the bulb, or power source), or my computer no longer computes, *I’LL* show you a MEGA-microaggression and I will dang guarantee you that there WILL be hurt feelings.
