More dufusness from the dim bulbs of Congress

by

Oh, yeah, thanks to Congress, I guess I can’t say "dim bulbs" – they’ve outlawed them starting the first of the year.  Hmmm, "dim LEDs" just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

Anyways, more stupidity:

On the eve of the World Series, four Democratic Senators Dick Durbin (IL), Frank Lautenberg (NJ), Tom Harkin (IA) and Richard Blumenthal (CT) have sent a letter to the Major League Baseball Players Association calling on it to ban the use of all tobacco products on the field, in the dugout, and in the clubhouse at MLB ballparks.

Tell you what, Senators (and I really don’t care if they are Democrats OR Republicans as both Parties are stupid in this regard), how about you chuckleheads deal with big national issues, like fixing the $1.5 Trillion deficit you’ve helped to create before being concerned about grown men playing a sports game.

Gentlemen (loosely used) – you were elected to worry about the nation and not what goes on during an entertainment show.  Let the players determine what’s right. Better yet, their management who pays their salaries and are the right folks that get to determine what is acceptable decorum.

Not Senators that can’t focus on the right things.   And this is not The Proper Role of Government to tell folks "no chaw".  And it is up to Parents to lecture their kids as to the use of Tobacco; stop acting like we elected you to be our parents.
