New Hampshire’s GOP Chair Jack Kimball welcomed his opposite number from Iowa Matt Strawn to the free state for talks to reinforce the potency of their first-to-the-ballot box status.
Chairman Strawn made it clear that there is a common bond between the parties and the people of Iowa and New Hampshire, saying: "Both states are proud of the very important role they play in the Presidential nomination process. In neither state is it the candidate with the biggest bank account or the one who runs the most ads that is necessarily successful. It’s the candidate who gets out there and allows regular working citizens to ask the tough questions."
Chairman Kimball added: "We had amazing results in November and Iowa has been beside us all the way and we will be beside them. We are completely on the same page and agree it is important that all the citizens of this country get to see as much of the candidates as humanly possible. Both states do a pretty good job of vetting these candidates for President. I would urge all the candidates to give New Hampshire and Iowa equal footing."
Joining forces like never before they are determined to do their bit to ensure a change of occupancy in the White House in 2012.
