Last night, GraniteGrok was asked to cover the NH GOP Spring to Victory Reception at the Radison Hotel in Nashua NH in which Lara Trump was the keynote speaker. The event went about an hour and this time, it was better covered by the NH Media than the last event. I daresay that it wasn’t just because the ‘Grok called them out (except the Concord Monitor) last time but WMUR was there, Nashua Telegraph (well, it was in their home town), and the Union Leader were there (but not the Concord Monitor this time). Methinks, rather, that it was Lara Trump (keynote speaker and daughter-in-law of President Trump) that was the real draw.
To be clear, this was a fundraiser and you’ll hear the new NH GOP Chair, Steve Stepanek, talk about the comparison between this rally last year and this year (yes, a big difference – and he is demanding more next time). Also, if you listen to the end of the clip, you’ll also hear the words of admonishment to the Party members that were there:
It comes to this: Do Your Job. Then, do more because the Party has done a face plant (my words) compared to the Democrats. I don’t think the audience was expecting it.
Sidenote: Yes, we’re still experimenting and learning the new equipment. I thought that I’d get splendid audio quality from our new JVC camera as it could accept sound right from the PA system (XLR from their mult-box) but on playback, there’s a high whine in so you’re seeing / hearing from the “Plan B” and “Plan C” cameras. And of course, being a political rally with political people there, they’d rather talk with their friends than anything else, so apologies with the “over talk”. I’ll figure out a better way to eliminate it next time.
