H/T – The Corner:
Courtesy of the Daily Caller, here he [Ron Paul] is on the topic of Charlie Sheen:
“Why does anybody care? The guy’s goofy, just leave him alone.“
“It seems like we’re running out of things to deal with. We have wars going on. We’re flat out broke, and we’re worried about this guy?”
“That does not seem to be a major event in my life.”
Yup – the obligatory "Charlie Sheen is a train wreck in motion – he needs help". But why the MSM / TV networks seem to want to further his celebrityhood is simply a matter of their ratings (and therefore, profits) – somehow, I just have the inkling that a $1.65 Trillion deficit this year and that the federal debt has broached our national GDP and that my state of NH has upward of a Billion deficit are FAR more important than a single overly self-esteemed actor.
Yet, calling our chuckleheaded politicians who have spent us into this situation merely "goofy" seems many too steps too short.
I wonder what would happen if the MSM pounded on those dollar malfunctions instead of Sheen’s malfunctions?
