Methinks the Law of Unintended Consequences has just bit Zandra in the behind…

UPDATE: The count is up to 222 Obamacare Waivers – roughly 25% are UNIONS!  Way to go, Zandra!

SEIU

Quite some time ago (2007), I had this as a post which subsequently was updated a number of times due to this picture of one of Zandra Rice Hawkin’s dupes as I caught the SEIU trying to push what is now our nationalized healthcare system, ObamaCare, as simply "Shouldn’t healthcare be affordable for all?":
SEIU Zandra Rice Hawkins

…I had issued a challenge followed by a supposition for the SEIU / NH For Healthcare folks.  Then in an email discussion, I offered Zandra Rice Hawkins, their Communications Director, a blog debate followed by a radio debate back on 9/18 not truly knowing the above.  While she did respond, she avoided answering about engaging in debate.  Since 9/19, all I’ve heard has been  cricket sounds.  I’ll post the email thread later and after the jump so you can see for yourself.

I have no doubt now that I’ll win the challenge – there is no defense on their side now that the cat is out of the bag.  Did others know this before me?  Probably, but I’ll just add my voice.

When it is all said and done, this is NOT about healthcare.

I think I can safely say that I have now won "the argument that never was".  Zandra, the big believer in the socialist SEIU union that she is, chickened out in honestly debating the issue with me.  I knew it was not about healthcare but was all about setting up free riders on the rest of us.  It was not about me making the best decisions concerning healthcare for me and my family but Government deciding what was good for me – or not.

Now, I know that the news that 111 222 organizations that have now requested waivers from ObamaCare is a bit old, and this story is a few days old, but I do report it with delicious irony – From Michelle Malkin:

More than 30,000 low-wage families will be affected, according to The Wall Street Journal. Who’s to blame? SEIU 1199 benefits manager Mitra Behroozi singled out oppressive new state and federal regulations, including the much-ballyhooed Obamacare rule forcing insurers to cover dependents well into their 20s:

“…(N)ew federal health-care reform legislation requires plans with dependent coverage to expand that coverage up to age 26,” Behroozi explained in an Oct. 22 letter to members. “Our limited resources are already stretched as far as possible, and meeting this new requirement would be financially impossible.”

And if you go to Michelle’s, you’ll see that they even lied about the truth why  they dropped insurance "for the children".  So, a union that spent MILLIONS in getting Obamacare passed won’t spend the money to insure its own children?  Yeah, once again, we find the "fine for thee but not for me!" pushed by the Progressives, especially when the hard truth of their policies start coming to the light of day, naked and alone.

And with Republicans in control here in NH, and multiple states now in Republican control, I believe that a number more will be signing onto the idea that ObamaCare, via the unconstitutional individual mandate, will be soon online. And thus, it is with great satisfaction I ask the question:

Hey Zandra – wanna have that debate NOW?

Filed under "Union Thuggery" – both what they have done in lying to us, as well as to their own children.
