Morning Update: Be Nice

Today, on the Morning Update, we have to talk about this one: an old angry liberal man (OALM?) slaps an 18-year-old TPUSA poll worker across the face on Election Day. In Laconia, NH. The story went wide and fast. There are plenty of lessons there, especially after the beating Republicans just took.

Watch on the ‘Grok Rumble Channel if the Embedded Video does not load.

Note: After recording this episode, it was reported that Stephen Redic was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and disorderly conduct.

Steve (00:00)
Welcome to your Thursday, November fifth, 2026 morning update. So I guess we probably gotta get this out of the way.

And it was, indeed, especially here in New Hampshire, where the Democrats have a veto-override majority in the New Hampshire House and could end up with one in the Senate, that’s one seat away. But we’ll see how that goes. Maybe they’ll hang on. We have a Republican governor. Sort of. So it’s gonna be messy and ugly, and we’ll have as much fun as we can anyway.

But you probably heard about the poll worker for TPUSA, a volunteer who was slapped by an angry old man on election day up here in Laconia.

And it sort of struck me as A) something we obviously had to talk about, and B), an example from which we might learn some lessons.

From the Laconia Daily Sun, quote.

You sit there and dare to look at me in the face and say I don’t know anything, the man yelled. He then gave the staffer the middle finger, stepped forward and backhanded him in the mouth before swearing at him and walking away. Bystanders told the man he should be arrested, and someone off camera said call the police.

What we should take away from this, first of all, is that the T P USA volunteer was nice.

The entire event was all very Covington kids, if you remember that, except Nathan Phillips; he didn’t slap Nick Sandmann.

I can’t speak for you or anybody else, but I would be happy to be nice just like he was, until he put his hands on me, after which I would feel compelled to fold him up like a camp chair.

Self-defense is, after all, a natural right.

But kudos to the TPUSA volunteer for keeping his cool.

No response, no pepper spray, nothing.

And I guess that’s an important lesson. Now that the Democrats have power, they will be goading us and intimidating us and trying to get us to do things that will make us look exactly the way they try to portray us, absent their ability to find any actual evidence to that effect. They will be who they are.

And I have already suggested many times that it is now our job, especially since so many of us appear to have so much free time when we’re not in elected office.

To screen-grab and capture all of that craziness and save it in a folder. Work it out, have a plan. There’s plenty of us out there. We can all pick a legislator and do our thing. There will be more examples of this kind of behavior because Democrats feel like they can do whatever they want. And now that they have a political advantage, they’re definitely gonna want to do whatever they want.

Our job is to be nice.

Just remember this very important, very old lesson.

And may the force be with you. That’s it for today. I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
