Welcome back for another edition of GrokTALK! Brought to you by GraniteGrok.com and Grok Media LLC. Yeah, I need a shave. I know. I’m being lazy. What can I tell you? And I’m recording this in segments this week because of the way things just happen to roll. So, one of the things I wanted to talk about, and I have been talking about this quite a bit lately on the blog.

This is not the time to pretend that you can’t vote for a Republican who happens to be a RINO. We are in the middle of the counter-revolution, the American renaissance. We need Donald Trump to be free to continue to operate. Anyone who says he is creating chaos is the reason we needed that chaos.

Because you don’t elect a disruptor to fix what’s broken in your government and not have a little crazy. And the left is going crazy.

They’re calling it chaos because he is legally and lawfully undermining all the fraud and corruption that have propped them up for so many years. And the other part of that is people are saying he’s not really accomplishing anything. He’s not arresting anyone. I don’t see anybody going to jail. They are arresting people like crazy. Okay, are they arresting Bill and Hillary Clinton? No, you’re probably not gonna get them. You might, you might.

It’s possible. There are so many investigations going on between the DOJ and the Republican majority Congress that we won’t know. Everything is moving. It’s all in process. And a bad midterm ends all of it. It’s over. The Democrats will drop every single one of those investigations. They will bury all the reports and data. And then they will do everything they can to prevent President Trump

From continuing to create an American renaissance. Energy, jobs, manufacturing, everything. We’re in the middle of it. And this is our last chance. If Democrats take control, we may not get another shot at this. So I wanted to revisit a list by Jeff Childers that he wrote.

Back in July. He called the list. Trump 2.0 accomplishments as of mid-July 2026. Remember, we’ve got another couple months’ worth of accomplishments in there. Tons of fraud investigations. All the stuff where they’ve just shut down SNAP fraud, Medicare fraud, Medicaid fraud. Hundreds of thousands of individuals are being investigated, arrested, indicted, or imprisoned.

For something the Democrats and the deep state, which includes people on both sides, have allowed to happen because they benefited from it. And it’s your money. You could save trillions annually just from these investigations. So if you talk about affordability, let’s say that’s the way to go. Make government smaller, make it cost less, and use the money they do take for the purposes for which it was intended.

So this list is not complete, but it is very, very long, and we need to read it. And you need to remember there are more things than are on this list. So when they say Republicans haven’t done anything in the Trump administration, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Not true. Here we go.

• USAID and the “Institute for Peace” closed

Things are happening. More things than perhaps in any administration ever. All of them pointing your nation in the right direction. And most of them are in process.

They aren’t completed, and they won’t be if Democrats take over any house of Congress. And I would say this applies to your state legislatures and your governor’s office as well. Blue states are shitholes, crime-riddled crap storms. They attract the homeless, welfare recipients, fraud, negligence, and crime. The only reason that happens is that there are Democrats in office who let it happen.

If you want that, vote for it. If not, I would recommend you vote Republican up and down the entire ballot, every ballot, wherever you are, because it’ll only make America better. And that’ll make your life better. You will get to keep and spend more of the money you earn. You’ll be left alone in peace.

To find your own personal family utopia, even if you’re a family of one.

So we’re going to continue bashing Democrats because they’ve earned it, deserve it, and they certainly don’t deserve your vote, especially here in New Hampshire. New Hampshire Democrats want at least.

Two things very badly.

First, they want you to think that they care about high tax burden and property taxes in particular.

Second, that fulfilling their fantasy of a statewide property tax will make the first fantasy come true.

This is not a new confidence scam, and every preceding example has turned out to be a frigging disaster.

Much higher property taxes and additional statewide taxes on top of it. The reasoning is pretty simple. Democrats don’t think we spend enough on the government jobs programs. That helped them grow their political base and their political power.

People like to point out how all the welfare scams and schemes are a get-out-the-vote machine, and they certainly are. But the more administrators, teachers, bureaucrats, pensioners, officers and agents who have a very decided self-interest in the growth and expansion of government budgets, is a significant builder of Democratic Party power.

And those people, they can afford to donate to Democrats and support their causes.

There is literally no circumstance, nor is there any evidence, that if you give Democrats a new tax, they will make your life more affordable.

Blue states and cities are the most expensive places to live in America, which is why people are fleeing them for states like Texas, Florida, and even New Hampshire.

Democrats in New Hampshire voted against banning an income tax. They voted in favor of an income tax. They vote for every possible tax or regulatory fee that comes their way.

And they take every opportunity to propose new and higher taxes.

And after years of whining about how high your property taxes are and whose fault that is, they got that wrong. They are now against an effort that would actually cap the growth of the single most significant property tax burden you have to deal with. Public schools and school administrative units.

This November, every town has the option to cap those budgets. If Democrats cared about property tax burden at all, they would support it. They don’t. In fact, two separate lawsuits challenge the entire exercise. Both of them were shot down by New Hampshire judges, which, if that’s not a sign from God, I don’t know what is.

Especially in one of the most secular states in the country. If you’re not familiar with the judicial system, you probably don’t understand.

You, the local taxpayer, get to decide. Decide what? From Jay Bartlett:

The school district tax cap that will be on the New Hampshire ballots this fall does not force districts to reduce spending below current levels. It allows for spending growth. In fact, it’s one of the most generous caps in the country, and we are one of only four states that don’t have one.

It would cap SAU revenue at the prior year’s level plus inflation plus population growth. What voters will see in November is not a radical plot to cut school funding. It is by national standards a relatively weak effort to place a temporary restraint on SAU spending growth. That can be important for taxpayers because school districts account for more than 70% of local property taxes in New Hampshire.

Here’s the text that will appear on the ballot.

Shall the name of municipality limit property tax growth for name or names of school districts under RSA 32:5-I? If adopted for a two-year period, one, the local property tax levy may not grow beyond the prior year’s amount adjusted for inflation and new construction. Two, SAU central office spending may not exceed 6% of total school district appropriations. And three, bonded capital costs are excluded from both limits. These caps apply only to administrative operations of the SAU Central Office and do not affect classroom instruction, school-based services, or other municipal expenditures. These limits may be overridden as provided in RSA 32:5-i. Adoption requires a three-fifths majority vote.

Nobody’s undercutting education spending, despite the fact that the results of what is called learning in public schools should be undercut significantly, not just in budgets, but by lots and lots of more affordable competition, which of course the legislature has been working diligently on over the last several years. You have more choices in education in New Hampshire now than I think anywhere else in the country.

So this is good for students and parents. It’s also good for public schools. Public schools have gotten way outside their remit. They were supposed to educate children to turn them into good citizens. People who understood math, budgets, things they would be asked to vote for. They don’t understand those things. That’s why a lot of them don’t vote.

And that’s exactly what the people who want bloated budgets do, because the people who want to spend more and more of someone else’s money on things that are important to them, well, they show up and vote. People who are just like, whatever, they don’t. You really need to stop doing that. Even if you’re not really excited about the candidates, especially for town elections, because town elections are where your budgets are decided in New Hampshire. All of those property taxes, that’s local spending.

That’s local decisions.

The legislature isn’t – They have no control over that. And this is an example of where the legislature has stepped up and said, Well, a November election will have better turnout. Maybe people will show up and say, Hey, we’ve been complaining about property taxes, and Republicans just gave you a way to slow the growth so that it’s not as startling when you open your tax bill twice a year. If you want that tax bill to get lower, or for that spending to be more responsible, or for your school boards and your schools to be more accountable to you, you have to show up at your local elections, not this ten or fifteen percent turnout thing. You need to turn out sixty to eighty percent.

You could cut your budget and lower your property taxes if you wanted to.

But apparently all you really want to do is complain, and Democrats take those complaints, and then they pretend that by adding a statewide tax they can lower your tax burden. There is zero example that that’s ever worked. And the states that have both are the most expensive states in the country.

New Hampshire will completely lose any advantage it has if you allow Democrats into office, and they will pass an income tax if they can.

Now, if the local measure passes in your town, you will not have cut spending; you will have merely slowed it. So anybody who says otherwise is lying.

The question also does not put a ceiling on spending; it simply slows the pace. And we could ask for a lot better, but as you will have discovered, sometimes you need to do things in steps. You need to be incremental.

School spending is out of control.

The only connection between money and achievement that you can find is that more money equals less achievement. That’s a local problem. You need to do something about it. You need to go to school board meetings. You need to make people accountable.

Property taxes are a local problem. Democrats are lying to you about it. They are also lying to get a sales tax or an income tax. They’ll take both. Because no matter what they say about tax burden, they want it to go up. Because it’s Democrat government. They want to spend more money on everything. Not their money, your money.

So what’s the difference?

Well, some school budgets go up as much as eight to ten percent a year. If you cap it, you’re probably looking at an increase of approximately three percent, disregarding special circumstances.

Republicans in New Hampshire have also introduced something else to Granite Staters. It’s called the Granite Guarantee. They’ve done a lot to help the Granite State: reduced business taxes, got rid of the interest and dividends tax

And they’ve blocked every attempt by Democrats to impose a slew of taxes, including income taxes. And as a reminder, the Democrats have introduced another income tax for the twenty twenty seven session.

What are Republicans promising in the granite guarantee? Well, seven items.

• Ban an income tax forever.
• Cap your property taxes.
• Cut even more red tape. Lower energy bills.
• Lower health care costs.
• Parents decide (what happens with their children. That includes education, health care, everything.)
• And to support public safety.

You have to support public safety because whenever you have Democrats around, they talk about defunding the police, defunding ICE, letting criminals out of jail, no bail. Basically, they like criminals more than they like you. And feel free to ask them why that is.

Hold their feet to the fire on the tax problem. Explain to me how you want to spend all this money on all these programs, and you want an additional tax, and that’s somehow going to lower my overall tax burden. It’s physically and financially impossible. And it would, of course, make us like all the other crappy blue states that surround us.

If they want to be taxed more, they can just move across the border. Vermont is very much like New Hampshire, except for the fact that it has lots of taxes, environmental regulations, and all kinds of other left-wing crap that is driving people and businesses out of the state. Some of them are coming here. Feel free to ask them why. Remember, Democrats want to steal your money to pay for their stuff. It’s your money. Republicans think you know best how to spend it, and that will create.

A vibrant economy filled with services and products people want and actually need. It also lowers costs, makes things more affordable, and increases access and choice. Democrats want the government to take your money and decide how to spend it. And we know how that ends. We can see it in California, New York, New York City, Vermont, Massachusetts.

Be different. Choose New Hampshire.
