The left’s complete lack of messaging hasn’t sunk their leaky blue dinghy yet, which suggests people are still as gullible as ever. They want to believe the lies and seem hesitant to acknowledge the truths.
Democrats in New Hampshire want an income tax. They propose it every year or nearly every year. They concoct Rube Goldbergian fantasies to trick you into letting them have a statewide tax they can only increase and expand. It is financially impossible to demand that we spend more on almost everything, every year, all the time, and lower taxes or the total tax burden. They vote for more and higher taxes every session, voted against a constitutional ban on an income tax, and they’ve already proposed another one for the next legislative session.
Oh, and they are outright livid about HB1300, which wouldn’t cut spending or ban anything. It’s a tax cap measure each town can vote on to slow the cost of the thing most responsible for your outrageous property tax bill. So, no, you can’t take them seriously when they claim they want to lower property taxes.
The 2026 election in New Hampshire is about an Income tax. If you want one, an income tax, and you want it to go up and expand to other things in perpetuity, vote Democrat. They promise to tax the crap out of you, destroy the NH Advantage, and spend it on things that matter to them. If you’d like to decide how to spend more of the money you earned on things that matter to you, vote Republican.
On a related note, if you hear Democrats grumbling about gas prices, remember these three important facts. Democrats have always wanted gas prices to be higher. No Democrat complained about high gas prices under either Obama or Biden. They wouldn’t know how to lower them if they even wanted to.
And in closing, while you’re voting to prevent an income tax and voting to cap local property taxes, vote Republican up and down the ticket to keep crime lower, government fraud checked, your border secured, and jobs coming back to America.
