Welcome to your Monday, August 17th, 2026. Morning update.
Remember Kamala Harris? I know, how could you forget her? Word salads, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Her first executive decision was to choose Tim Walz as her vice president. Everything else kind of went the same way. And she got her ass handed to her in November of 2024. So you would understand why somebody like Mary Peltola, a Democrat running in Alaska tries to separate herself from the lower 48 Democrats, who she claims are different from her.
Are they?
Quote: Kamala Harris, Fight for the People PAC sent a fundraising email Wednesday asking supporters to split a donation between Peltola’s campaign and Harris’s political operation. The message called Alaska a must-win Senate seat for Democrats and said that Peltola’s win would give them a great chance to take back the Senate and put a real check on Trump’s presidency.
Peltola’s campaign quickly distanced itself from Harris, telling reporters that she was not seeking endorsements from anyone outside Alaska. The campaign also said it had not approved Harris fundraising email and had no knowledge of it before it was sent.
That’s it. She’s all about Alaska. None of that nonsense.
Republicans, of course, pounced on the opportunity, linking Peltola to Harris, who got shellacked in Alaska in 2024. It was a good move. It was a better move than they thought. To summarize, Harris sends an email. Peltola’s campaign denies it. Problem?
Journalist Yashar Ali reported Sunday that a source directly familiar with the request told him Peltola’s campaign had asked Harris Political Operation to send a fundraising email. According to Ali, the request was made in late July.
Sounds like an opportunity for the Republicans, but don’t hold your breath. Alaska has one of those pig pile primaries and it uses ranked choice voting. So who knows what could happen. But this does give Republicans an opportunity. Clearly, this woman who claims she’s all about fish and family in Alaska is also about whatever it takes to get elected, and that includes courting people like Kamala Harris.
And you can’t get more lower forty eight Democrat than that. Two faced hypocrites running on local support, claiming all sorts of things to get into office, and then diving right into the Democrat Socialists of America’s plan, which was always their plan. They were just afraid to say it out loud.
So I guess the only real question is whose people really screwed it up? My guess would be Kamala Harris’s people, which again is indicative of how they ran their last campaign. they didn’t get anything done, and they wasted a lot of money. What’s more Democrat than that?
