From the “we’d rather just forget about it” file, your local (and national) watchdog media is once again asleep at the wheel of the Fourth Estate. The Union Leader, for example, likes to remind us that nothing is as powerful as the truth…including, if you just don’t share it. That’s mighty powerful. And it defines local media in the Granite State and everywhere else.
If you tell a half-truth or share an outright lie, someone can make an example out of you. If you just ignore it, especially when it contradicts months or years of “news,” you’re just making an editorial choice. First Amendment. No one has any obligation to cover anything they don’t want to. And I get it. Time, resources, column inches- irrelevant in digital, but let’s not pick nits. There’s only so much space “on the shelf.” Just like the library that chooses gay porn for tweens instead of something else. Decisions must be made.
So, when the story breaks about dragging “The Science” into a hearing (again) to address the documented subterfuge by Tony Fauci and others, that’s not something anyone who was harangued relentlessly by previous editorial decisions needs to know. You may not have gotten everything about COVID wrong, but you reported everything that turned out to be wrong and not much to correct that record.
It’s not over and done with. People are not going to forget what the government, the media, and the culture they created did to them, their jobs, kids, families.
Entire political movements rose and fell. The Biden Administration’s overreach got Trump elected. Medicine, politics, and trust in both changed. Medical freedom rose, the food pyramid changed, and armies of useless bureaucrats were dismissed. Experts sent packing. And while the media is happy to share quotes from deep state stooges about how this is going to compromise public health, they can’t find time to report unpleasant truths like this.

And the documents that are pulling Fauci back for interrogation describe how the “experts” wrote a paper saying one thing while privately saying the opposite. Emails. Slack threads. Medical Industrial Complex insiders lying to the public about origin while Fauci used his power to make or break their science to protect his complicity in what happened in Wuhan.

Fauci lied about funding gain-of-function at Wuhan. That funding allowed Wuhan, along with Baric and Eco Health, to insert furin cleavage sites into SARS-like bat coronaviruses. At some point in 2019, that very thing escaped or was released, and tens of millions of people across the planet suffered the consequences of the virus, with billions suffering from the political response. No one responsible, either for the engineering, release, policy response, or cover-up, has been held accountable, and the same media that sold the lies is hiding from the truth.

The media, the Handmaiden media, has so far failed to express any interest. A story that digs into the heart of all that local and national COVID reporting from early 2020 well into 2023. We couldn’t escape the reporting or the policy consequences for years, but this isn’t anything the public needs to see?
Nothing is as powerful as the truth unless no one ever hears it. Not reporting it is a choice, and people are watching.
