MACDONALD: It’s Canadian Smoke Season, and I Still Have My “Hantavirus Outbreak” Decorations Up

Someone asked me about the weird light outside in the afternoon. It was yellow-orange, almost as weird as the light during a partial lunar eclipse. Wildfire smoke, I said. What’s the problem? They asked. Progressives, I reminded. Just like California, Canada has long been under Left-Wing rule. It’s a new problem created by an old problem.

For all the money progressives extract from those trapped under their rule, the quantity and quality of services always decline. Education, sanitation, plowing, police, and fire. Getting a permit or license takes forever and costs more every year.

The only people who are happy are running the system or embedded in it like a tick. Everything else goes to shit.

The trick is to find enough of someone else’s money to buy enough of the people whose lives you’ve ruined to stay in office. Or you just fix the results, and for the progs who think that’s a conspiracy, the more totalitarian the government, the more it fixes its elections.

Blue States are destined for higher taxes, are poorly run, have decreasing health outcomes, and have more crime, poverty, and homelessness. They attract and encourage it. Feel free to ask them why. Why do you want dirty criminals loose on our streets, funded by us, no less?

They also suck at forest management. California is the best domestic example. The left-wing tree huggers who funnel dough into proglodyte campaigns convince them to allow the conditions that result in wildfires, which they then blame on modernity.

It’s not modernity. It is deliberate sabotage.

We’ve got more wildfire stories than I can shake a stick at, and plenty of them are filled with the arrest records of arsonists. It’s a fitting outcome.

Democrat politicians are just arsonists who set everything else in society on fire, blame someone else, then make other people pay for it.
