Jose’ E. Cambrils for NH State Rep. 2027-2028

Incumbent NH State Representative Jose’ Eduardo Cambrils is running for re-election in Merrimack County District 4 – Canterbury / Loudon.

Jose’ was born in Victoria De Las Tunas, Cuba in 1960. He and his family immigrated (legally) to the United States in 1965 to escape from the Communist Castro regime.

He was very proud to take the oath of citizenship and become an American in June of 1973.

He went on to earn a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Northeastern University Boston, Mass. in 1983 and an MBA in Operations Management from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, Mass. in 1987.

Having moved to New Hampshire in 1987, Jose’ fell in love with this great State, and has never left. He and his wife Allison have lived in Loudon for the past 10 years.

He has been a life-long “Reagan” Republican since voting for the first time in the 1980 election.

Companies worked for included Honeywell, Wang Labs, Cal-comp, Sanders Associates, Lockheed-Martin, and BAE Systems. He had a 35-year career as an Engineer and Engineering Executive in the Commercial and Military Electronics business.

After retiring from BAE in September of 2015 at the age of 55, Jose’ has remained very active in politics and in local community support. He is also a proud long-time member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), NH Firearms Coalition (NHFC) and the American Numismatic Association (ANA).

First elected as a Republican State Delegate in 2018, he has also been a member of the Merrimack County Republican Committee since September 2017.

In 2020 Jose’ won the general election for one of two seats for NH State Representative in Merrimack County District 9. He became the first Cuban refugee to hold high office in the State of New Hampshire. He served on the Science, Technology, & Energy Committee. He won again in 2022 (Served on Finance Division 1 Committee) and 2024 (Where he was appointed Chairman of Finance Division 1 Committee by the Speaker of the House). He is now running for State Rep. in 2026 for Merrimack County District 4 – Canterbury/Loudon.

Jose’ is a member of the Freedom Caucus. He has attended almost every hearing or House session in his three terms. He has a 100% vote rating with the House Republican Alliance for six years in a row. He received the “General John Stark Protector of Freedom” Award from (Americans for Prosperity) and a 100% voting record Gold Award from Granite State Taxpayers. Additionally, he has been endorsed by NRA, NHFC, Cornerstone, CPAC, NH Liberty Alliance, and RebuildNH with “A” ratings.

He is fluent in Spanish and his interests include fishing, hunting, coin collecting and doing Cuban style pig roasts. VOTE FOR JOSE’.
