As the Senate Majority Leader, believe it or not, Senator John Thune has allowed the Democrats to control the Senate agenda. You say, how can that be?
While most Americans have never heard of the unelected Senate Parliamentarian, this person controls the voting agenda and terms of Senate bills that our elected U.S. Senators are allowed to vote on. In the usual course of Senate history, the majority leader of the Senate majority names the Senate Parliamentarian for obvious reasons—to have Political Compatibility! Nevertheless, traitor Thune has allowed the Obama-Biden-Reid-appointed Senate Parliamentarian to remain in office.
Thunes’ political ruse is a political ploy to avoid shame for betraying the Republican agenda. The Obama-Biden appointed Senate Parliamentarian, Elizabeth MacDonough, has disallowed POTUS’s request to fund the Secret Service for security at the White House Ballroom. The Obama-Biden-Harry Reid Senate Parliamentarian has also recently ruled the Republican immigration bill improperly funded our Border Patrol, the Department of Homeland Security, and money to screen illegal immigrant children who travel without parents! This same Democrat bureaucrat has prevented a vote on several key Republican issues, such as the SAVE ACT (which would require voter ID and allow only Americans to vote in federal elections) and the elimination of the Senate filibuster, which requires 60 votes to pass most bills.
While Senator Thune is mostly to blame for allowing the Senate Parliamentarian to trash the Republican agenda, I ask myself, where are Senators Ted Cruz and Mike Lee? When are they going to stand up! Their cowardice is showing!
