🚨 URGENT ACTION ALERT: BETRAYAL IN CONCORD – YOUR RIGHTS ARE BEING SOLD OUT BY THE SENATE AND WEAK-KNEED “PRO-GUN” REPUBLICANS
Fellow New Hampshire Firearms Coalition Members, Patriots, and Defenders of the Second Amendment:
They stabbed us in the back.
On May 14th, the Republican-controlled [super majority] Senate — with the apparent blessing and consent of the NRA’s own State Director Joe LoPorto, who was there meeting with Senators beforehand — gutted two critical House-passed bills that would have protected your God-given right to keep and bear arms.
HB 1793 (Campus Carry) — killed. Turned into a meaningless “study” while only allowing staff to carry. The clean, strong House version that fixed the constitutional issue was rejected. One Republican Senator even bragged in a text: “Talked with the NRA this morning and they are fine with what I did.”
HB 609 (Preemption for Self-Defense Tools) — poisoned. The Senate took the strong House bill that stopped local towns from creating a confusing patchwork of anti-gun rules (like the nightmare in Massachusetts) and added a dangerous anti-gun amendment that hands rule-making power over your Rights to unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats through the broken JLCAR process.
This is not a win. This is a surrender.
Administrative rule-making is a poison pill for gun owners. It lets shadowy bureaucrats create rules with the full force of law — without real legislative oversight, public input, or accountability. The Legislature must retain 100% control over anything touching the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. We cannot — and will not — let them delegate our constitutional rights to desk-jockeys in Concord.
And yes — this is exactly what happens when the NRA inflates grades for “pro-gun” politicians who talk tough but fold when it counts. Weak grades lead to weak politicians. Weak politicians lead to dead bills and eroded rights.
The fight is NOW in the Committee of Conference.
This week (starting May 21, with key meetings like May 27), the House and Senate conferees will decide the final fate of these bills.
Your mission, if you value your rights and the safety of your family:
Contact the House members on the Committee of Conference for HB 609.
Demand they HOLD THE STRONG HOUSE POSITION — or KILL the now-corrupted Senate versions.
Tell them in no uncertain terms:
- No compromise on Campus Carry.
- No bureaucratic rule-making on Preemption.
- Your constitutional rights are NOT subject to unelected/unaccountable bureaucrats.
Flood the phones and inboxes. Be respectful but firm and emotional — this is about your family’s safety and freedom.
Contact the House members on the Committee of Conference for HB 609. Demand they hold the strong original House position or kill the corrupted Senate version.
Be polite but crystal clear: No compromises. No delegation of the General Court’s power to regulate firearms, stun guns, Tasers, pepper spray, knives, or any other self-defense tools.
Flood the phones and email inboxes.

This is your moment.
These bills were passed by the House to protect you from local tyrants and campus administrators who think they can disarm law-abiding citizens. The Senate just handed your enemies a roadmap to chip away at your rights through the back door of bureaucracy.
Do not let them get away with this.
Call. Email. Show up if you can. Share this alert far and wide in the New Hampshire firearms community.
The Second Amendment is not negotiable. Not in New Hampshire.
No more weak compromises. No more inflated grades. No more betrayal.
Hold the line — or watch your rights disappear.
