Welcome to your Thursday, May 21st, 2026, morning update. Rededicate 250 happened on Sunday, an opportunity to gather on the National Mall, celebrate faith in the founding.
And to cause the liberal media and democrats to lose their hive minds. Always good to create that opportunity, but it doesn’t take much. All you have to do is disagree with them on just about anything. Anyway, MS Now, which is the hive mind’s beacon of information, the intelligentsia of the left, or maybe not quite so much.
Talking Head Katy Tur demonstrated her complete lack of knowledge about the founding of the government and the Declaration of Independence when she kind of sort of accused Mike Johnson of being something like a Christian nationalist for, well, let me just read it to you.
“In his prayer, Johnson noted that God’s mighty hand has been upon our nation since the very beginning, that God is the source of America’s many blessings, and that America is a nation premised on biblical and foundational principles. Johnson also emphasized twice in the prayer that Americans’ inalienable rights derived from the Creator.”
Ms. Tur, showing us just how smart she is, wondered what about this passage from Mike Johnson declaring that our rights do not derive from government? “They come from you, our Creator and Heavenly Father,” Tur said on Monday to panelists on her show. ‘Is this him putting God over the Declaration of Independence?’
Okay, well, let’s read the Declaration of Independence. You know it, say it with me.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, and so on and so forth. Governments are created to protect natural rights.
The fact of the matter is that Katy Tur, Katy Turd is an idiot. And idiots, well, they get paid a lot of money to tell people things that are wrong. And that pretty much explains the entire Handmaiden media establishment. They’re morons. They have a partisan agenda. And if you don’t know it, that’s the problem. If you do know it, it’s low-hanging fruit.
