MACDONALD: Should The Dems Be Afraid of A.I.?

The evolution of Karens into AWFLs seems like sound demographic science. Women who probably bought into at least one or more waves of feminism and have been jilted at the secular humanist altar. Absent children either altogether or anymore (because they’ve grown up and moved out), the forever single and divorced need something to care about that they can convince themselves cares about them.

Nothing about any progressive movement cares about you beyond your willingness to let Democratic politicians stand on you, alive or dead, in their pursuit of power -ideally, the one-party state. Once they have what they want, you become the same annoying cat-lady you were framed as by the right.

Democrat leadership is crazy, but it isn’t completely stupid. They didn’t teach you everything about social revolutions because no one running one can. Much like Virginia Democrats, Lenin, Castro, Mao, etc., everything is a rose-colored lie that only becomes apparent when one of their storm troopers knocks the glasses off your face with the butt of one of those assault weapons you worked so hard to keep out of civilian hands.

Anecdotes about younger liberal women are no better. I just read a story about how younger men are looking for older women who do not fit the above description because the college/internet indoctrinated ladies in their age groups are intolerable harpies. Not a bad strategy if you are a depopulationist, by the way, which progressives are and always will be. Make women so toxic that no one wants to mate with them, ushering in de facto demographic collapse.

The not-so-stupid Dem leaders are, of course, still stupid in that regard. While wanting only the best and brightest to run the world, they acknowledge the need for drones to do the dirty work. Resource scarcity, which is unavoidable in their so-called paradise, is also aided by the decreased volume of mouths to feed. Just enough for the folks in the fifteen-minute cities, so the countryside can be left to go wild and not just with horror stories to keep the robot army on the urban plantation.

The oligarchy will still need lots of room for ranches, golf courses, the odd factory farm, and secured areas where monsters “be” so no one ever discovers the mass graves. Places with the bodies of both sides, especially these No Kings marchers, who are by far some of the dumbest human beings in all of documented history.

Dana Fisher, a professor in the School of International Service at American University, tracks the demographics of participants in major anti-Trump demonstrations. In a phone interview, I asked what she had found about the mobilization of students and younger men and women.

She replied, “We’re not seeing them in the streets at No Kings events.”

She provided the following data about the three No Kings protests: “At No Kings 1 (June 14, 2025) the median age was 36, at No Kings 2 (Oct. 18, 2025) the median age was 44, and at No Kings 3 (March 28, 2026) it was 48. Clearly, it’s getting older.”

The participants in the initial No Kings Day demonstrations, Fisher wrote, were “predominantly white, highly educated, female and middle-aged.”

Locally, the useful idiots increasingly look like somebody else’s grandparents with somebody else’s signs. Let out of the care home to “protest” something next to the paid protesters, many of whom, if young, are paid to be there. You’d have to pay them to spend a few hours with all those angry liberal women who have ruined the entire appeal of left-wing protest.

You used to be able to get guys to show up because that might be where all the young ladies were, and despite all the LGBT rhetoric, most of us are not lesbians, gays, bisexuals, or trans. And they aren’t all incels either, so progressive protests might be the best place after art class to find a chick, but increasingly, in both locations, the girls are so toxic it isn’t worth the trouble.

And if Dana Fisher is right, even younger women are beginning to fall out of that protest demographic, leaving aging women’s march protesters who still have a pussyhat in a shoe box somewhere in the back of their closet (next to the recently decommissioned Eric Swalwell shrine), bitching about Kings when it’s the people sponsoring their protest who are the threat to their right to protest, free speech, association, and the rest of it.

They’d like to blame the internet.

So, what’s going on? I asked a wide range of experts for their thoughts. Some pointed to such structural developments as the explosion in social media usage and public access to artificial intelligence, both of which weaken users’ sense of efficacy and agency.

Those adverse effects are most acute for young liberals, especially young liberal women, suggesting that the political costs of social media and A.I. will be borne disproportionately by the Democratic Party.

Say what?

A.I. assistance reduces persistence and impairs independent performance: After brief A.I.-assisted sessions (10 minutes), participants were significantly more likely to give up on problems and performed significantly worse once the A.I. was removed, compared to participants who never had A.I. assistance.

So, people predisposed to letting established systems make decisions for them are going to stop marching in support of an established system (The Democratic Party) that exists to make all their decisions for them?

No. They think it will make room for Trumpism.

As apathy spreads, the ability of authoritarian leaders in the Trump mold to smash democratic norms and wrest control of elections will grow stronger.

Apathy, in turn, feeds on itself: The more action appears futile, the more likely opposition to the corrupt exercise of power diminishes or fades away.

This is the New York Times, so excuse the projection. Trump has done more in 15 months to break up authoritarianism around the world than almost anyone in recent history, but the Times writers are themselves incapable of escaping the thing they are reporting when it comes to Trump. They are still all on the Fine People thing, the Steele Dossier is real to them, and Joe Biden was sharp as a tack, even if he lacked the mental agility to feel one if he stepped on it.

TDS does similar things to reporters, which means the anti-AI datacenter folks will be grabbing granny who protested nuclear plants in her younger days, to hold premade signs to stop Trump from letting America use AI to do for young people what the Democrats used to do. Teach them not to blindly accept whatever they’re told, no matter how ridiculous or stupid it might sound.
