An email from a loyal reader that I think was evoked by my post on the Pats succumbing the Left and allow, nay, encouraging politics to enter into the sports realm (emphasis mine):
It is with a heavy heart that I will no longer be a supporter of any professional sport that permits their players to disrespect OUR flag and National Anthem. Attacks on our beliefs and traditions have accelerated to the point where our history is being violently dismantled daily. Freedom of speech is under daily attack on our college campuses and now the National Football League has made a conscience decision to support anarchy over law and order. Professional Sports is entertainment, an escape from the everyday travails, not a platform to disregard time honored tradition, of acknowledging those who gave their lives for the freedoms we enjoy.
