LEGISLATOR TO ANDREW CUOMO: ““You look at me, Mr. Governor, but you don’t see me. You see my black skin and a woman.”
No, he doesn’t see your black skin and that you are a woman. After over a decade of watching politicians evaluating situations, you know what he sees? He sees you in terms of 1) will you help get me more votes? or 2) will you cause me to lose votes?
It is that simple. And it is a shame, at times, that it is that simple. There’s more at the link (Cuomo miscalculated again – go figure) and there’s enough for more posts but this pull quote is enough to make the point for those that really don’t follow politics as a hobby.
