MACDONALD: Them Dems & Jeffy Epstein

One of my offspring sauntered into the kitchen this morning and asked if I’d heard about the latest Epetein outrage. I asked, Which one. He said that when Democrats released two emails that allegedly implicated Donald Trump, after which Republicans released twenty thousand pages of emails.

He thought it was funny, and while he is not explicitly conservative, he votes Republican, and has enough sense to question everything, especially left-wing nonsense.

Democrats were desperate before they lost an unnecessary shutdown fight that ended with them getting nothing they really wanted and something they didn’t; an inter-party civil war.

In my corner of the vastly unfahtomable universe (Don’t Panic), our US Senators, both Democrats, were responsible for waving the white flag on a shutdown surrender. At the same time, both House Democrats, and I mean that in the offensive historical Dem-party southern-slavery context, voted against it because massa told them to do that.

I am reminded of the movie Braveheart when Robert the Bruce meets with his father about the rebellion led by William Wallace, paraphrasing. You support it from our lands in the north. I’ll denounce it from our lands in the south.

The left-wing base is pissed, which tells us a lot about them, after weeks of complaining about the shutdown and pointing fingers when it only ever took a few democrats to stop voting against reopening it. SO, what to do? I know, let’s release the Kraken in the form of two almost meaningless, heavily redacted emails so the Handamiden media can talk about something other than the shutdown dems’ utter failure to do anything but upset everyone for nothing.

The media and BlueSky proglodytes took the bait, but not long after Republicans dumped several buckets of chum in their blue water. Twenty thousand pages, including the two the Dems were dancing widdershins around, unredacted.

The DNC went one step further and proceeded to hang itself on a lie it then had to delete because, in their haste, they forgot just how easy it would be to prove it was a lie.

All of which brings us to the 30,000-foot response I gave to my son. The question you should ask whenever a Lefty starts losing their mind over anything that includes the words Jeffrey Epstein. The same question Stephen A. Smith asked.

“Ladies and gentlemen, keep in mind that the Epstein files were in existence and free to have been open during the Biden administration! You were there for four years!” Smith said.

“How come you didn’t open it as a Democratic party then!? What am I missing!? I’m not saying I know, it’s a legitimate question! Maybe I don’t remember the answer. Maybe my extraordinary producers should be able to help me during the commercial break.”

No one seems to know or wants to say because the answer, if there is even a good one, would be the reason the Trump Administration realized it can’t just dump all these documents into the public domain, no matter how many MAGA folks demand it.

“Under Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 6E, grand jury evidence is kept secret to protect witnesses, informants, victims, and the integrity of ongoing or past investigations. And the Justice Department cannot unilaterally release this material either.”

This leaves us all a bit bent that Bondi’s DOJ would announce a release and then back off to the point where they decided they would not or could not. Frustrating, but not nearly so much as for the Democrat Party, which needs to answer another question on a similar vein.

If the J6 committee had evidence proving Trump’s guilt, why would you delete it?

While we wait, start working on your mid-term narratives about how Democrats screwed up air travel, didn’t want to pay our Military, and only caved because Republicans had a clean bill to fund SNAP that they’d have had to vote against.

Oh, and don’t forget this one. Why did they not care about minor girls being sex trafficked to global power-brokers until they thought it might help them politically?
