If you want to make improvements, you find out where it is worst or who is causing the most significant problem, and you start there. The systemic failure of public education is in the government schools. They spend three to five times as much for half or only one-third of the desired results. If the goal is teaching kids to read, write, do math, and teach themselves throughout life, state-run government education is a cataclysmic failure.
Lots of fiscal emissions for very little output.
The same can be said of environmentalists, who are (not ironically) among the strongest supporters of the failed government school model. The majority of global environmental harm occurs in China, India, Africa, and South America. Still, the majority of their so-called action takes place in Western nations, where significant financial and energy costs yield minimal “environmental” improvements. We know this is deliberate because the climate cult is about advancing socialism and the reduction of wealth and prosperity, and the vehicles that make it possible.
The only climate they want to change is economic, and developing countries will get hit hardest when first-world nations no longer have the resources to prop them up, or their dictators, depending on who you listen to on the subject of “foreign aid.”
The global climate will henceforth decline precipitously into something many degrees more awful.
If it mattered, they’d be protesting in China, India, Africa, parts of Russia, and South America, where a recent report cites data suggesting that a majority of the natural material used in wind turbine blades (apparently there is some) is illegally harvested from Amazonian rainforests.
Unethically sourced material that impacts indigenous populations is being illegally harvested and shipped off to China so it can be used in wind turbine blades bought by the West to … protect indigenous populations from Western emissions in the countries illegally harvesting the wood.
Last year, the Environmental Investigation Agency produced a damning report that found many producers blended plantation wood with illegally harvested wild balsa from Amazon forests, including the Yasuni Biosphere Reserve, home to uncontacted indigenous groups. Its key finding is reprinted below:
According to EIA’s investigation this skyrocketing demand has had a long lasting effect. It appears that since the 2019–2020 balsa boom, the entire balsa production sector continues to depend upon the logging of natural forests, with a blending of plantation vs natural forest that allegedly varies between10% and 70% depending on exporter. These mixing practices in Ecuador have global repercussions.
Curiously, this shocking report, that seriously undermines the ethical production chain of wind turbines, failed to get a mention in the mainstream media.
Curious but not shocking. The MSM has been negligently absent on a wide range of issues related to the impossible fantasy called Net Zero. The front-end emissions. The environmental damage. The offshoring of both so that green elites can claim they are reducing emissions at home.
It’s a pyramid scheme to which we can add the absence of outrage over the situation in Ecuador.
The EIA investigators toured many of the illegal logging sites and charged that most, if not all, exporters quickly turned to natural forests as a “convenient and immediate available replacement” when plantations were quickly depleted of older trees from around the turn of the decade. It was found that balsa was extracted from Ecuador’s Amazonian heartland, “much of it spanning some of the last intact forest landscapes in the country”. These were said to be unique protected areas and emblematic indigenous territories. Traders are said to hav
It is an essential lesson to the fools who believe any of this has anything to do with “saving the planet.” If you want to save it, you need to prevent people who think like this from rising to power. Once they have it, they will be as indifferent to you and yours in their purists as they are to their own narratives.
And the Handmaid media won’t report any of that injustice either.
