Susan Wright has a piece “REPORT: Russia Setting Up A Psychological Dossier On Trump” that kinda breathlessly let’s us know that Russia is compiling info on Trump.
Not so (the “starting to” part). It’s already there and probably has been for years. Every country large enough to have the resources does it not only for its “enemies” but for allies as well. That also includes military leaders and societal “movers and shakers”. These are done years in advance even if they may never be used but will get updated from time to time. What, you REALLY don’t think that Russia (or China or the UK or the Norks or Germany or….) DOESN’T do this? And to be sure, we do the exact same thing. To quote Patton “Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I read your book”!
To plaigarize your story, the word of the day would be “naïve.” .
