“On Tuesday’s airing of MSNBC’s Hardball, host Chris Matthews tried several times to get New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairman Raymond Buckley to commit to holding presidential primary debates in his state. Matthews asked many times, trying to get the chairman to guarantee that there will be debates and not just a coronation of Hillary Clinton.”
OK, as much of a national TV as much as Matthew’s delivers on MSNBC (whose ratings are crashing like the temps outside tonite). That said, I tell you that I enjoyed watching Ray Buckley squirm, prevaricate, be obtuse, and when it all comes down it it, handled the question rather stupidly. It is clear that he’s either all in for Hillary or ready to pee his pants in fear of a Clintonian event happening to him. Seriously, you don’t have the stature of a State Chair to say “SURE! Debates!” – or such a baseless political worm that you show the stature of Gollum?
It does show one important thing, however: Buckley personified the Progressive mantra of “Disagree? Shut down their speech!”. I’m not sure that any of the Dem Prez Wannabees were all that thrilled with his performance; once again he make the flying leap to “chill the air” and told all but Hillary “YOU are not wanted here”. The intimation is “stay away from MY coronation of Hillary here in NH”.
