Bumped: Yep, we really mean it – we want your input because we’re not doing it for us to be able to say “Hey, we got one too!”
We’ve had several fits and starts at putting together a ‘Grok App for mobile devices, but it has been high on Steve’s priority list for quite some time. We’ve decided it’s time to make that happen.
It is now our number one priority, top of the list. But we have a slight problem.
I don’t use phone apps – I’m PC-centric. I surf on my phone browser but not much else (aside from phone calls). I have precisely ONE app. I don’t want anymore (well, except for the ‘Grok app).
Steve uses a few but not a lot of them. We are not exactly app-using experts, but our target audience is (and growing a younger audience is near-impossible without one). We have a handful of others things (upgrades and expansions) we’ll be doing as well, but an app is an essential next step for expanding our reach.
What should it look like, and keep in mind we’re a news and opinion blog site and plan on doing more podcasts (GrokTALK!), more and better video – with good sound quality (GrokTV), a video upload capability for folks to share their video with us. Even a built-in live streaming feature.
We need to know what Apps you use that you find easy to navigate – or based on your experience, what things should we avoid? We know what we’d like to see. Intuitive and easy to navigate, but this app isn’t just for us, It’s for YOU!

For those that use apps a lot or know people who do, what’s to like and why? Ask your kids what Apps they use and what they find appealing. Got or know college kids – I’m sure they’d have some input.
