Who does America see as more politically agreeable: TEA Party or Obama?

by

Gadsden FlagGiven the absolutely putrifying shellacking that the Progressives, the Democrats, and the Media have been doing on the TEA Party, I thought this was a “no contest” comparison.  After all:

  • Obama represents the Socialist wing of America – fundamentally transforming America away from its roots by his use of an activist government machine to a governance model that demands that The State be forced to do things – implementing “Positive Rights” for you via a repudiation of the “negative Rights” of our founding.
  • The TEA Party wishes a governance model that allows Citizens to live their live uncoerced by Government activities and whose 3 Principles are:
    • limited government
    • Free Markets
    • Constitutional values

Boy, was I surprised!

Voters are evenly divided when asked whether they agree more politically with President Obama or with the average member of the Tea Party. But an enormous partisan gap colors virtually all opinions of the Tea Party.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters think the president’s views are closest to their own when it comes to the major issues facing the country. But just as many (42%) say their views come closest to those of the average Tea Party member instead. Sixteen percent (16%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This marks a small setback for the Tea Party from April 2010 when 48% felt closest to the average Tea Party member, while 44% said they had more in common with the president

Really?  Only a 4% drop?  I bet as more of the Healthcare.gov and Obamacare lies promulgate through the general populace, the TEA Party numbers are going to tick upward.  All Presidents “shade the truth” to spin things to their advantage but the news coming out when Obama / Obama Administration lied about “You can keep your healthcare / plan / doctor.  Period.” changes the perception.  Shading?  Accepted.  Outright Lying?

Totally Nixonian.  Not cool.
