“This morning I was racist for wanting the OCare mandate delayed. Tonight I’m a pragmatic Democrat!”
Heh! Frankly, I still think that Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals SHOULD be enforced here:
- RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)
Heh! This one they did to themselves – Obama voluntarily took Government into an area, massive technology for Obamacare, inwhich it had no expertise
- RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (This is a serious rule. The besieged entity’s very credibility and reputation is at stake, because if activists catch it lying or not living up to its commitments, they can continue to chip away at the damage.)
Republicans should resist any changes to the Obamacare law – make the Democrats and Obama Live. Up. To. Every. Jot. And. Tittle. They wrote it, no Republican voted for it – they own it. Let them defend it. Let them be held accountable to the voters – don’t pass anything that would help them get out of this jam. Start the media offensive now – hammer that over and over and over again: “Don’t blame us – Dems did this ALL by themselves”.
Make no mistake – the Democrats need political cover and Republicans should not give it to them. Be the guys that keep handing the gas cans as the Democrats burn on the pyre of their own making. Democrats have deliberately HURT THIS NATION (economically, healthwise, dependency wise) simply to implement an ideology of command and control in a top-down centralized system. Make them own it entirely and defend it! DON’T GIVE THEM A POLITICAL LIFE PRESERVER! Let the political quicksand swallow them up at the polls after this most dreadful, hurtful, and harmful law EVAH.
Obama wanted to fundamentally transform America? Let the American People see exactly how Obamacare is going to do just that!
The Democrats delayed the rollout of critical parts of Obamacare so as not to hurt their election changes. Republicans should now do the same simply by using political ju-jitsu; as the Democrats come running up to the cliff, simply step out of the way and give them a nudge as they go by. They wanted it – let them reap the responsiblity and accountability for their own bad decisions; do not help them!
