Last nite, the ‘Grok went to the Crowne Plaza in Nashua for the Nashua GOP’s annual event: “Steak Out” where the featured speaker was Lt. Col. Allen West. His staff had reached out to us as “the strongest conservative blog in the state” and asked if we would like to do an interview with him (albeit, a real short one); we only had the time for short few rather quick questions:
Questions:
- The Rule of Law – opinion on The Rule of Law and the Obama Administration flouting of acting contrary to authorizing legislation?
- The electoral system is being pummeled (i.e., Voter Fraud) – thoughts on fixing it?
- Please expand on the Legislative Branch (Congress) abdicating its responsibility to the Executive Branch (President) in making law?
- Have we reached the tipping point of the American public that we have reached the Roman “Bread & Circus” dependency?
His last line seems to sum up the current state of what used to be our Constitutional Republic with a line from Thomas Sowell:
“We have exchanged that which works well for that which sounds good“
