I just put this up about perceived differences between how Conservatives see people vs Progressives. A frequent commenter by the name of Radical Moderate just left a great illustration:
The economy has collapsed and the country is thrown into chaos. A conservative and progressive who haven’t eaten in days are walking down a country road and come to a fishing hole. The conservative pulls his shoe laces out, ties them together and then fashions a hook out of an old piece of wire he finds on the road. He grabs a grasshopper and puts it on the hook and is about to throw it in the water. The progressive asks him, “Hey what are you doing?” The conservative says, what do you think I’m doing, I’m gonna catch us a fish, make a fire and cook it so we can eat.
The progressive says, “I hope your fishing license isn’t expired and I think it’s against the law to start a fire here, besides I’m sure someone will be coming along soon to bring us some food.”
This sums up the difference between a conservative and progressive.
