Six Months down the line – a review of three campaign promises

The race in January for the NH GOP Chairmanship was one between the Establishment and the Grassroots (go figure) with Andrew Hemingway being the hands down favorite of the latter group.  His platform consisted of:

  • A promise to be able to Unite the different factions of the Party
  • A promise to be able to Fill the Coffers so as to prepare for next election cycles with getting more boots on the ground for votes
  • A promise to completely revamp the NH GOP’s technology platform so as to compete with the Democrat Data Machine

Promises are to be kept (especially when they were promptly copied) – else there is no Consistency and where there is no Consistency of results, there can be no Trust going forward.  So how is Jennifer Horn doing?

  1. Would anyone agree that that this has been met?
  2. It is my understanding from incoming little birdies tweeting that “the long pole stuck into the tank” is only wet at the very bottom – not easy to run on a two month basis.  How often can the grassroots come to the Fundraisers at $100 buck a whack?  Can you keep going strong on an “do it again every 2 month” basis?
  3. Yeah, a new website (even if at a rock bottom price) is really going to compete well with the NH Dem Data Machine?  Yeah, they have a real data mining effort – maybe not Obama Data Machine level, but something.  What does the NH GOP have that can stack up – short or long term?  Can this new website (and all of the sub-sites for the local Committees) really get the vote out?  Is anyone actually gathering data to put into it if it a “false front” accessible only by “double secret” passwords?  OFA is out there with their GPS enabled data collection devices….

Jus’ wonderin – which one(s) have been kept and which one have not?……
