E Michelle Holt-Shannon, Director of NH Listens at The Carsey School of Public Policy at UNH, and moderator of last night’s SAU16 DEI-J spectacle opened the meeting by threatening the attendees.
Yes, you read that right: a person who is not an SAU16 employee took over the meeting and threatened the taxpayers footing the bill for all of this crap.
Here’s the transcript:
“ So, what I’m going to ask is…we’re going to give people a couple of chances to please be quiet and be respectful. We really want everyone to be able to stay in the room. We’re not making the decision whether someone leaves, the police are, but we will call them in if we need to. They’re very nearby. But our hope is, our hope and desire, is that everyone is able to stay and be respectful and listen and participate.”

This woman stood there on the stage with two card-carrying board members of Seacoast BLM, one of whom is her colleague at NH Listens, and had the unmitigated gall to threaten us in OUR HOUSE. BLM openly calls for defunding the police and E Michelle Holt-Shannon has the effrontery to weaponize them against us?
Enough is enough, people. For those of you who weren’t yet fully aware, last night’s meeting made it very clear how organized these people are. It is past time for us to do likewise. We must organize and take a stand against these sewer rats before they destroy everything.
First of all, we need to find out which police Holt-Shannon had on her speed dial: was it Exeter Police, or was it the Sheriff’s Department who was on duty at the last board meeting? We need to find out and reach out to them. Tell them what Holt-Shannon said.
Ask what the law is around removing people from public meetings. The more calls and emails they receive, the more they’ll take notice.
Secondly, we need to reach out to our representatives, NH Department of Education, and UNH leadership to voice our displeasure at being threatened. Is this how NH taxpayer dollars should be spent? Should we be funding a public university whose employee threatens taxpayers? Again, it will take a lot of emails and phone calls, but it must be done.
Finally, if Holt-Shannon attends any more SAU16 meetings and attempts to speak, let’s shout her down and boo her off the stage. The police can’t and won’t arrest all of us, especially when we show up in droves. E Michelle Holt-Shannon has no problem taking away our voices. Now let’s see how she feels when we take away hers.
