Quick thought – “de facto amnesty”

by

From Republican US Senator Bob Corker, friend of the Gang of 8:

“Doing nothing leaves a bigger problem in place,” Corker said. “It’s not like this goes away if we don’t pass a bill. It’s still there. It’s de facto amnesty.”

Not really.  I almost always blame Democrats for Perversions of the English Language of the Highest Degree in trying to advance their political agenda (a corollary of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals).  Republicans do the same thing – but usually only when they are losing the argument du jour or in trying to explain their actions as they see Conservatives marching up the hill with pitchforks, tar, and torches (so it is of the Lowest Degree).  No, this is NOT de facto amnesty – this is the consequence of passing bad legislation in 1965 and worse in 1986.  AND now, the consequences of the Federal Government not doing its job.

Imagine – just one part of the current load of crap now circulating the bowl of Congress – the current bill – promises to FINISH building of the 700 mile border fence that was mandated by previous legislation (that is, if the current Sec. of DHS, Big Sis, doesn’t take advantage of one of the clauses in YOUR bill, Senator Corker, and unilaterally decide “it’s not needed.

We trusted you then.  #FAIL. Why should we trust you now?  You’re just renaming “de facto amnesty” to be “provisional resident” and think we’re too stupid to realize it.

A piece of crap by any other name still stinks as bad, because imagine how things would be different know if our Government had just followed and carried out its own law?

OK, perhaps not so quick.
