Fan’s of the Mandalorian on Disney+ may know Gina Carano as a hard as nails Alliance Drop Trooper Cara Dune. Some of you know here as an MMA fighter. More recently, you’ll have heard Disney shuffled her off the Star Wars spinoff.

What happened? Some Twitter-troopers got their rainbow jimmies rustled over her sharing a historical fact.

Not one word of what she says is a lie but when you are not in charge of the truth, especially when it looks a lot like the “unity” and compassion message being sold by the Left, expect to take some hits.
Nor does Carano mention any party, faction, or individuals by name. She merely shares an inconvenient truth.
Her reward is to see one door close and then another one opens.
Just days after Disney said they would not bring her back (‘cuz Twitter trolls said so), she has won an opportunity to develop and produce her own movie.
“The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered,” Carano said in a statement Friday. “I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob. I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.”
Irrespective of that, Carano would never have laid down anyway. She’s a fighter, literally, and she’s not afraid. That bugs the crap out of them. They hate that about Ben Shapiro as well, who founded the Daily Wire and added this on this latest attack by the compassionate left.
“It is not about an honest attempt to cleanse the culture. It is not about an honest attempt to have discussion or conversation,” he said. “It is about, can we wrong-foot you so that we have an excuse to say that your entire career has been completely and utterly garbage and that you are a bad person, and so we feel good about excising you from the body politic. That’s all that is happening right now in the culture, and that is a big deal.”
And yes, the Twitter trolls digitally “did” over Caran just explained happened to the Jews. Her internet “neighbors” came out and beat on her (virtually) until the “Big Brother’ in this case, Disney, took her off their board. A practice that, if it persists, will eventually confine the playing field and normalize the behavior as happened to Jews in Germany under Hitler.
You can’t let the bullies take free speech away, or the rest of it goes too.
So, we stand with Gina and her advice. “They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.” And I would love to see a chance meeting in public between Carano and one of those Twitter trolls. Gina would never lay a finger on them; there’d be no need.
But it would be fun to watch, you know, in case there was a need.
