Recently, Democrats have been using the term “bipartisan support” to justify their political beliefs in their rush to implement questionable fiscal and social policies. When asked about the most recent multi-trillion dollar Covid-justified spending bill (which includes “gender programs” for Pakistan – a result of Covid, one supposes), they say that “both the House and the Senate voted for the bill”, all the while lumping Democrats and Republicans together.
No, Virginia, “bipartisan support” doesn’t mean what you think it means.
The term “partisan” means (according to Dictionary.com), “an adherent or supporter of a person, group, party, or cause, especially a person who shows a biased, emotional allegiance”.
If a partisan is a supporter of a cause, and if Constitutional conservatives are believers in the rights and concepts outlined in the Constitution, then Constitutional conservatives are poorly represented in both the House and the Senate. RINOs – the description for a group of Republicans who are neither fiscal conservatives nor support the Constitution as written – may be Republicans, but they are definitely not Constitutional conservatives.
For too long, Constitutional conservatives have seen Republicans elected to office and watched as those newly-elected pols’ spines evaporated as they voted for the same policies they promised they’d vote against. None of these were true Republicans: they were RINOS who were uninterested in doing “the people’s business”. Their goal was to get elected and get on the “gravy train”. Nothing more.
No longer does Republican mean “someone who believes in the values of a Constitutional republic“. Indeed, it now means “somewhat less tyrannical than a Democrat” (keep in mind the old joke that Democracy is 2 wolves and a lamb voting on what’s for dinner). Look at the Senate and show me how Republicans Murkowsky, Collins, Romney, McConnell (et al) have demonstrated a deep belief in Constitutionally-guaranteed rights and principles. I’ll wait.
There are only two sides in this conflict: pro-democracy (in the form of a Republic) and pro-socialism. Or, if you will, pro-Constitution and anti-Constitution. Democrats, and recently most Republicans, have moved to the anti-Constitution, pro-socialism side of the aisle.
If “bipartisanism” is defined as “representing, characterized by, or including members from two parties or factions”, and as today’s Republicans no longer represent Constitutionally-guaranteed rights or principles, then, truly, bipartisanism is over. We have finally achieved the utopia of “one party rule”.
The 2020 election was rife with anti-Constitutional actions, such as non-legislators making arbitrary changes to law without the consent of the governed. Governors, who are charged with fairly enforcing the laws passed by the legislatures, ignored the laws and put their own edicts in place – using loopholes and “public safety” as the justifications. And The People let it happen without a whimper.
But what those governors failed to take into account – on second thought, they probably knew they were doing it – was a simple but glaring truth: by tearing down the force of law, they were also tearing down the barriers that promote a just society. This made it far too easy for those who hate the Constitution to ignore Constitutional principles and do what they have always wanted to do: begin a wholesale move away from Americanism to Socialism.
I challenge the reader to answer the following question: how will this country return to its original Constitutional form of government?
Ok, I’ll make it easier: how will this country return to the business, economic, and travel environments of 2018? Or, for that matter, 2019? (I deliberately do not include the political unrest in limited areas of the country because the majority of the country remained unaffected by that unrest. Airlines still flew, restaurants still served meals, and employment was still setting records – regardless of what some nitpickers would have you believe.)
Now that the methods to corrupt an election have been proven to be successful, those in power will find ways to use those same methods to remain in power. Forget about state limits on terms for Governor. They will be ignored the same way other state laws have been ignored and for the same reason: a “public health emergency”. And when this “public health emergency” begins to wane, there will be another: there are plenty of “Fauci”s waiting in the wings.
The America you knew before 2020 is gone, probably forever. The riots, burning cities, violent protests, and now the fear of an overwhelmingly survivable virus destroyed it.
There will be no move to restore fairness in the election process. American school children will never catch up to those of the same age in other countries – such as China and Russia. By allowing political correctness and “a warm hug” to replace truly equal justice and “tough love”, those who we placed in power over us have ensured America’s best days are now behind us. That was their plan. Their plan has now been achieved.
It is time to prepare for the next phase of America: the elimination of Constitutionally-guaranteed rights and the full implementation of class- and race-based Social Justice “reforms” based on a Socialist model. The only difference will be that the means of production will be controlled by huge multinational corporations – with the full cooperation and support of the government, of course.
How sad.
