And You Are Proud of That?

I took a few breaks from watching Team-Biden stealing the election Tuesday night to check #nhpolitics on Twitter. I kept seeing tweets from Sununu’s kiddie-corps celebrating Sununu winning Democrat cities and towns. Some examples:

The question raised by these results is: “WHY?”

More specifically, did Sununu win all these Democrat towns and cities because as was the case with Ronald Reagan and the “Reagan Democrats,” the Democrats realized their Party had deserted them and the REPUBLICAN policies championed by Reagan were better for them?

Or was it that Sununu has “coopted” so many Democrat positions that Democrat voters see him as one of their own?

I would say the latter. A few examples:

Abortion: New Hampshire is one of the most extreme States on abortion. Essentially, it’s abortion-on-demand up until birth. Sununu, apparently, has no interest in changing this pathetic state of affairs.

COVID: Sununu has embraced and enjoyed being on Team-Lockdown.

Education Funding: In the litigation presently before the N.H. Supreme Court, Sununu’s Attorney General did NOT take the position that the Claremont line of cases is constitutionally unsound and should be overruled.

Health Care: Under Sununu the onerous Obamacare mandates became State law. And Sununu directed his Attorney General to join the pending Obamacare case before the U.S. Supreme Court on the Democrats’ side.

Governing as a Republican and winning over Democrats, as Reagan did, is something be proud of. Attracting Democrat votes because you hold many Democrat positions, despite calling yourself a Republican (and because your opponent is a nincompoop who sees Donald Trump whenever he looks at you and claims taxing people’s incomes is not an income tax) is not.
